Well, Xia, I can only congratulate you for being so sure of everything and I'm happy that you feel yourself to be perfect just as you are. However, please understand that there are those of us who believe that change can equate to progress. Personally, I don't agree with anything you have posted and I would be grateful if you could find the humility to accept that there are views diametrically opposed to your own which may well be absolutely valid. Your views are valid for you. Mine are valid for me. There are as many paths as there are people treading them. I strongly object to your use of phrases such as 'love and light sect' when to my knowledge there is no such thing.
It is of course fine for you to dislike what and whom you choose. I try to live my life without dislike because I believe that negativity will bounce back to me. This is my belief. Please do not denigrate it.
Love and loads and loads of light, together with many blessings

The answer here to me, and it will be interesting to share other people's point of view, is that if one calls oneself a 'spiritual' person, then that person is able to rise above those feelings, control them and move forward.
I don't think the ability to move beyond instinctive feelings toward someone is particularly spiritual, but more a case of maturity! For instance, I deal with club members who are all at least twenty years older than me and a bigger bunch of ego-driven immature people I have yet to meet! I sometimes feel like yelling "It's only a (whatever)! Grow up for pete's sake!" I swear, I've had better responses and attitude from a bunch of toddlers. I sometimes want to ask them how they got to 60, 70, 80 and term themselves an adult! 😀 I've met spiritual people who are just the same.
In my life, I have met very few people I instantly disliked - usually it's a case of energy clashing - and even fewer people that I can't treat as human beings, at least. There's one guy that I totally disliked from the first meeting and I have never gotten over that gut reaction, but he comes along to check our alarm system once a year and I do away with it, as I can. If I really feel I can't deal with him in our home, I make sure hubby is there instead. 🙂 Otherwise, I 'rise above' my dislike and treat him like any other handyman.
It's a matter of choice. You can choose to accept a person and find something in there to relate to or at least smooth over your time together, or you can put the barriers up and back off. Personal choice and maturity of attitude, I'd say.

I am really enjoying reading this thread now. What a turn-around!! It is so interesting reading different peoples perspectives.
I don't think one should take any of what is being said personally, but as different peoples/individuals' very interesting viewpoints and beliefs!

I agree Amber, I'm enjoying it too...most of whats said isn't anything new to any of us but it's putting our thoughts & differences here for us to all see.....If someone feels strongly that they disagree with something said then ask yourself why...it's good to question your beliefs or views now & then...you can either learn something new from it or strengthen the believes & opinions you already hold....IMO😉

I love the way this thread has gone... from the 'sweetness and light' that Xia debates against to the deeper examination of just what lies beyond the 'new age' and its 'gurus'. I mean, we've had the Indian 'earth' philosophy, then the Mayans, the fairies, the crystal children, and now everyone is 'into' angels... where are people going to search next, when the answers are right inside them? 😀
