RE: Light Workers Of The World
Hi
well, anyway - I think it is ok to like or not like people
I agree...i think it's fine & natural...just like it is for people to dislike me...if I expect everyone to like or love me then I think I'll end up feeling disapointed...I think it's normal & natural & it boils down to personal taste..& the point I was 'trying' to make in my last post (not very well granted;)) is that it's not right to act on you feelings when it comes to distaste...by doing that you change your deserment into judment & then pass sentance by imprinting your views on others....as some people tend to be weary of another if someone else has had a negitive tale to tell....it's funny who some people remember the worst of things & negitive words stick...where as positve words can be brushed off...it's a funny old world
Love
Amy

Glynis,
I often find that the thing that I dislike most about a particular person is simply an extension of their best quality.
I enjoy people who are excited and energetic, but I get really annoyed when they won't settle down when I am ready for them to.
I love children who are inquisitive and want to know all the answers, but I get tired when they want me to provide them with all those answers.
I admire creativity and sit in awe of people who can make something from practically nothing, but get upset when that "practically nothing" is the expensive wrapping paper that I bought to cover a wedding gift tomorrow.
I like people who are clever and can anticipate what comes next in a situation, but get really tense when they can read my anger and call me on it.
When I identify what gets my goat I can usually trace it back to an endearing quality, though granted--not always. 😉

Yes, I think people really do remember slights very clearly! Partly, I think this is because of the importance we place on our selves - so that any slight against ourselves aquires enormous significance in our minds.
Yes, it is definitely true that if you offer praise to someone, it will alter your relationship instantly - and peope respond enormously well to praise. However, if someone is really a mean SOB then it is not necessarily *wrong* to call them on that. To me, I prefer *realness* - I would rather know how people are feeling, than be falsely praised because someone else thinks I will respond to that.
True enough, it is not always necessary to tell people what you think of them... not always needed, not always a point to that..... butthinking someone is an ass is fine.... it's all perspectives, and it boils down to where is the rule that says we need to like everyone? Jesus says love everyone - but I don't agree - and I'm just as smart as Jesus!
