Hi .Xia.
Pardon my ignorance but what does "En ma Fin, git mon Commencement" mean????Thanks
"In my end is my begining"
It was the motto of Mary Queen of Scots, an while she was held captive by Elizabeth she had this motto embroided in to her clothes.

Thanks for the explination of your sig
I agree! Sure, we all judge a little,.. but what's the problem with calling things as we see them? How would we know what we all felt about stuff otherwise. If we look at it from the other side, who ever made it a law that we can't think someone is an asshole?
well...you said ass instead of arse so that makes me think your American;)
Call a spade a spade by all means...but I feel when it comes to people you keep your thoughts to yourself...depending on the sititation...I can think of tones of examples but I'm rushed at the mo...as people we make mistakes and act irrational some times...we all do it at some point in our lives....you can meet someone & think to yourself "asshole"...but to call them an asshole out loud insn't nice & will create bad will & even a very small scale war between you & them...to tell others that person is an asshole isn't nice & will create gossip & bitching...& the main thing is to sit back & allow the person to show you a side of themselves that doesn't make you think asshole...if you don't see that side to them so be it....just because you or me or anyone else thinks they're an asshole doesn't mean that they are..........ooooooooooooooooooo tooo many assholes in this post:eek:

Hi Glenys,
You asked how it sat with others on this forum, that you can take on occasion take an instant ( and you say irrational) dislike to someone. From my own perspective, it is simply a fact of life that we cannot relate to everyone, and, sometimes see characteristics that either irritate us or make us feel antagonistic towards that person. I think this is rational behaviour and I explain that by looking at the vast and complex differences in human personality traits and understanding that because of this, no one can get along with absolutely everyone else.
What is not rational behaviour is when we act upon these feelings, as I see it. Some people do and this culminates in acts of vengence, betrayal, murder, and spite, but these are not rational acts and the person who acts as such allows their baser feelings to overcome all other moral and spiritual understanding.
The answer here to me, and it will be interesting to share other people's point of view, is that if one calls oneself a 'spiritual' person, then that person is able to rise above those feelings, control them and move forward.

Well, assholes are useful for letting the shit out... heh...
Ahh.. you say *tonnes* so must be of *metric* age????? Hey - maybe you just hang out owith metric age people, just like maybe I hang out with Americans?????
Anyway I said *think* someone is an asshole........ Although I did say call it as you see it.. well, anyway - I think it is ok to like or not like people..... it is only someone's agenda that we should like everyone... tell you what though, although I have met a few people who I didn't like, I never, ever met anyone not worth meeting.....

Myself, I could not answer that - I am not a spiritual person.... everything I experience is hoomon, as the Ferengi say..... It could be that it is a false ambition, to *rise above* human likes and dislikes... but it could be that it is possible to do that at moments, like a tool or ability that we can pick up and put down......... after all, like and dislike is natural - do we really need to *rise above* the dislike if the foods that we don't like, or the music we don't like - I mean, do we really need to rise above our dislike of Phil Collins? DO we? Do we? Have you considered what you are saying??? Are you mad?????? PHIL COLLINS!!!
