EnergyIz - whilst I loosely understand what you're saying, e.g. we all share the same higher self and this is separate from intuition....it feels theoretical/abstract.

It may feel theoretical/abstract, but it what I understand from my own knowledge and experience. After all, it's not possible for that knowledge and experience to be imparted on other people, we can only share our understanding and let the other person find out for themselves.

In starting this thread, I was hoping to get posts from those who claim to have accessed their higher self so that I could compare notes and see if this is different from intuition....my appraisal is that it is one and the same thing.



I have made this same thread on 2 other spiritual forums and there has been agreement with those who have experienced the higher self (i.e. get answers from it) that intuition and the higher self are indeed one and the same phenomenon.

Therefore I now feel I have the answer I was looking for. No-one experiencing the higher self (i.e. not just theorising about it) has said that intuition is separate from the higher self. I feel experience easily eclipses any theory on this matter.

I mean the following in a way for you to simply take on board and consider, not in any disparaging way. (I know how words can sometimes be read wrongly on the forums) :hug: ...

Do you not feel that this is somewhat limiting your 'search' (for want of a better word) for what is true for you? just taking the word of other people who 'claim' to have experienced their higher self. From my understanding of higher self (that of it being a greater awareness than just intuition), I can say that I have experienced being my higher self, and I understand that they are different things. So by saying that those who claim to have experienced higher self have the answer which exclipses any theory on the matter, is putting up a barrier which could prevent you from finding further answers. Your comment of "i.e get answers from it" suggests that you have a preconceived idea that the higher self is something for you to question and get answers from, but is that really the case? or are you actually choosing to make the 'higher self' something that is limited to be the same as intuition? How do you know that that what those others claim to be the higher self is a true understanding of the higher self, and that they are not just people who are dismissive of that thing that is something more than what they can explain?

Even the descriptions of higher self on Wiki are varying...

Regardless, if you are happy with your understanding then that's good... we all need to be happy in what we understand and know to be true. I would simply ask that you do not choose to limit yourself by believing that what you know is the ultimate answer and there is nothing more to know.
