I had a tarot reading yesterday and she stressed to me that I must find my Goddess within. What is the best way to go about doing this?

Also, completely off topic, how do I get my star sign on the left hand side of my post??

Thanks in advance 🙂

sitting quietly and callin upon the Goddess within is one way, or you could meditate with an archetype /symbol of the goddess and norice what you perceive/become aware of as you do

do you have an affinity with any civilisations eg Greek, Native American? Indian/Celtic

Is there an aspect of your femininity you would like to awaken/enhance/explore?

let me know and I can suggest a Goddess to play with!

The 'inner goddess' is nothing other than your own power, peace, love and clarity. 'Shakti' or Energy is the divine mother. Everything manifests because of the movement of Shakti. The energy aligned with your divine vibration becomes peace, love and wisdom. Which is an empowered state of being- freely flowing and joyous. Completely connected within. The power to create the reality that fulfills you lies within you. It is a deep understanding of how mind rules the matter, how your thoughts, words, focus, attention shape your reality in each moment.
Energy- out of alignment with your divine essence brings misery- diempowerment because all answers seem to be lying outside of the self.
Seeking goddess within is living from an empowered state where all answers come from within.
Taking all your problems within and patiently waiting for answers can be a good start. Accepting your self warts and all is another way to find the goddess within. Self acceptance brings acceptance of others. Self love brings you close to the divine within.
Understanding emotions and allowing yourself to fully feel each emotion as it passes through you.
Allowing simple childlike expressions- doing what brings you joy. Paint, sing, dance do what you never dared before not for anyone else but for your own joy. uncontrived and purposeless.

Letting go of expectations, desires, judgements all lead to that.
Oops! the list is getting longer. Better Wish you all the fun on this journey

That's brilliant, thanks Jnani.

Tigress, I don't appear to have an affinity with a civilisation that I am aware of yet!

I guess I would like to explore all areas of my femininity as I've always considered that I am not very feminine. It's never bothered me and it doesn't really now but it would be nice to know it's there somewhere.

Thanks all for your help and suggestions, that's great. Lots to think about and act upon.

...The way I have connected with the Goddesses and my inner Goddess is by getting the Goddess Guidance Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue.... I use them to meditate with and the Goddesses energy just takes over - also I started a Belly Dance class - and this really helps unleash the Goddess from within!! LOL ;o) Fab!!

Hi Sun~Rose,
When I work with women with similar issues and searching for the inner Goddess, I always suggest a book by Clarissa Pinkola Estes:Women Who Run with the Wolves. It is a truly empowering and beautifully written book.

Another interesting book by Demetra George is 'Mysteries of the Dark Moon'. As well as exploring the mythology of ancient Goddess worship, it focuses on the feminine cycle for personal renewal.

But if you are generally interested learning about the Goddesses I would recommend you to look at the Glastonbury Goddess Temple <a class="go2wpf-bbcode" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href=" http://www.goddesstemple.co.uk/ "> http://www.goddesstemple.co.uk/ - they run courses, and every summer the Goddess Conference <a class="go2wpf-bbcode" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href=" http://www.goddessconference.com/ "> http://www.goddessconference.com/ has a brilliant international programme of lectures, workshops, etc...

There is also a quarterly journal - 'Goddess Pages' <a class="go2wpf-bbcode" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href=" http://www.goddess-pages.co.uk/ "> http://www.goddess-pages.co.uk/
where I have also contributed in the past years:
<a class="go2wpf-bbcode" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href=" http://www.goddess-pages.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=492&Itemid=1 "> http://www.goddess-pages.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=492&Itemid=1

<a class="go2wpf-bbcode" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href=" http://www.goddess-pages.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=590&Itemid=1&ed=15 "> http://www.goddess-pages.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=590&Itemid=1&ed=15

The editor, Geraldine Charles runs on-line courses on Goddess history and mythology, ancient and modern Goddess worship.

Enjoy the journey,

Andre
