I have read some of the Books about fools Crow but TBH it was quite a few years ago and cannot really remember what I thought about them at the time.

I have three art books which are very precious to me as I absolutely adore the art work in them.
The Art of James Bama, Text by Elmer Kelton
The Art of Howard Terpning
and the Art of Tom Lovell an invitation to History

I also have George Catlin Letters and Notes on the North American Indians, again I have owned for many years but havent read yet (looks a bit hard going:()

I have the The Lakota Sweat Lodge Cards and book, Which are a self exploration deck based on the Sweat Lodge, by Chief Archie Fire Lame Deer and Helen Sarkis as the illustrator. They arrived at the beginining of my spiritual search and again hadnt used them for a long time...just lay on the shelf. However, about 2 weeks before you arrived to HP Historian....they had been grabbing my attention....;)

This is a good resource. Especially since it deals with George Catlin's observations of many tribes and nations along the Missouri River during the 1830s, when contact with Europeans and Americans was minimal.

I remember reading 'Fools Crow - Wisdom & Power' some years ago. So long ago, I can't recall where I got the book, but I think I borrowed it from someone...

From what I remember, it was very interesting and down to earth, being an honest account of a wise man and human working in his own quiet, strong way to bring balance and healing.

It was not always easy to get books such as those you have noted here in the UK... maybe more so now we have Amazon, etc. 😉
