Sorry if this is the wrong area to put this but I know very very little about tarot cards and the reading of them.
I did an online reading the other day – not linked to a person but just using cards on a website. It asked to think about the question you wanted answered and then shuffled and gave the cards. It also gave a brief explanation of their meaning. To be honest I was quite surprised – as the cards and their explanations were quite accurate – except for the last one which is meant to be the future/final outcome. It was the High Priestess reversed and the explanation meant nothing to me and I couldn’t see how it linked in any way to my original question. I'd be grateful if anyone could give me a fuller explanation of this card please ? I can give you the other cards (if needed) but I’ve saved everything on my home PC so would have to post them later.

Personally I wouldn't attempt to explain a spread either from another reader or an automated one, I don't read reveresed cards either but more often then not the HP to me is a symbol of intuition, being able to tap into it and use it more. Also I feel that she's very empowering, can signifiy finally forfilling a goal bringing about a feeling of 'inner' empowerment through acheivement, depending on position and other cards...:oeeeww it's difficult without actually looking at the card but basically the card symbolizes to me your hidden inner power coming forth, intuition and mystic...nice but powerful ....

In a reading the future cards can only tell you of possibilities...your tomorrow is in your control

Thanks Amy. I went on this website last night and some of the cards were uncanny. Strangely enough the HP card made another appearance. However as I know very little about tarot, I feel that I need to find out more. Perhaps I need to start a new thread on this – but does anyone know of a good book for beginners – easy to understand but with sufficient info ??
