Over the last 10 months I have been experiencing very detailed suicidal dreams.. involving myself commiting suicide and also other people attempting to kill me..:(
I just want to ask if anyone else has experienced these types of dreams?
I always feel terribly worried if I should have positive thinking.. its just that the negative way of thinking takes over a lot of the time..[>:]
I have had a terribly awful year, from June 2003 to this present day- involving 4 personal friends dying, my brother being rehabilated and being left paralyzed with a C5/C6 spinal injury and working with several children from rough foster care homes (involving sexual, mental, emotional and physical abuse)
At the time of my brothers accident all of my friends told me to "grow up and not to overreact about what had happend"- mainly because I was an emotional wreck and cried most of the time.. not having the right support and love around me.. I went quite crazy.
I have been told to take a year out next year and travel.. but I don't have the 'right group of friends'.. and I don't tihnk I should travel alone[>:]
You are welcome to pm me with your thoughts.
Thanks all,
S x
RE: Suicidal dreams
Hello S. Looks like you have had quite a few challenges to deal with .I noticed you have asked about a good homeopath on another forum..great ,as this will help improve your mood too, once you are given the right remedy.
In the meantime, you could try 'cherry plum', one of the bach flower remedies..this will help with the dreams. 'White chestnut' will help to stop circling thoughts and recurring night mares too.You can get them from Boots
I know how drained and sad it can leave you feeling after working with damaged and disadvantaged young people. How about imaging some violet flame all around you several times a day..this will help transmute any energy you have taken on that is not yours.
As to having positive thoughts..when you have been through the mill like you, positive thoughts are not always that easy to find/make yourself think, so I would suggest thinking thoughts which are just a bit 'higher' than the ones you have., so not going from despondent thoughts to pretend sunny thoughts, to plaster over the pain, but to think about a song you like/a meal you once enjoyed/how cute that dog in the park looks..little changes in thought..often throughout the day
take care

RE: Suicidal dreams
Hello Sezzara,
I just mailed you about travelling, I hope you get the e-mail but if you don't then I am a traveller who is looking for a good travelling companion. Travelling is a great thing to help people like me, and I relate to what you have said here, so maybe it would help you too. I have done some Adventure travelling on my bicycle (about 1000 miles)in England and Scotland, I love it but I'd like to travel to other parts of the world, I just couldn't do it alone.
So if you're interested simply write to me.
Cordially,
Thales.
