:dft001: tennis is one of my favourite sports, to play but watching sometimes takes me awhile to get into. as a kid, i loved watching wimbledon... got totally hooked at age 9 or so when i was off school for 2 weeks with chicken pox! (ha! my mum enjoyed that too cos she took the time off work to look after me :p).

anyway, this year...

nah, murray wont do it and i hate to be a pessimist, but despite what pat cash may say (to placate us brits, no doubt), i dont think he ever will do it. look at his competition!

so, nadal looks hot to me ;), to win of course, but you can never discount federer, whose play is a joy to watch. Djokovic is playing well too...

as for the women... too many ...ova's and vic's to tell apart! i am not a huge fan of womens tennis although the williams sisters did bring it to another level, venus imo, WAS very graceful whereas serena was kinda brute force!

i also hear that nadal is a thoroughly nice guy too :o.

Would love to see some British success and the first round has been good for us so far (wonderful tennis in the Murray v. Santaro match last night. At the moment Nadal looks unbeatable in the men's and Venus Williams in the women's.

I love watching it but I tend to lose interest in Wimbledon once the Brits are all out!! Hope Murray can hang in there. He has much more free in his belly than recent Brits.

I think Nadal is probably going to win. I like Federer as well but I am totally fed up with Venus Williams. I just feel there is something very strange about that family! Her tennis is brilliant though.

I wont be able to see either of the finals as I have prior engagements but I probably wouldn't have watched anyway unless we had a Brit there for us to cheer on.
