Michael Colgan's The New Power Program, has anyone found a better program than this? Its one of the best I have seen and asking for comments. I am considering this for my New Years commitment.

I appreciate the encouragment but this program is for athletes and my athletic days are a few years back and so I must adapt the program for myself. In the meantime I have found another program of interest, The RKC program by Pavel T. although I hope it does not include his extreme stretching methods that I don't wish to try. Forced splits I don't think I am ready for. One thing I found during my research is he is associated with Gray Cook, whose work(primarily for the lower body, also for athletes) is very similar to the Colgan program which came out a few years earlier. Mr. Cook I believe attributes his work to another Pavel, Pavel Asmonov? (sp) who attributes his work to Mr. Janda. The first part of Mr. Colgans work is to get your posture checked and possibly rolfed before beginning so I am also checking into that.
If you like the Colgan New Power program I would recommend starting with his phamplet perfect posture first which was written later and seems to be designed to prepare the body for the power program by correcting and checking your body's correct structure. It references the program and seems quite honest.
