Hi all

Ive got my nike+, got my ipod/iphone, got both kids to school now, get 1-2 mornings a week to myself, and am looking to get off my sofa!

Ive done a few half hr walks round the village over the whole yr (the shame!) but today have been alerted to a starting programme called C25K which is couch to 5km in about 9wks as I recall. So ive uploaded it to my iphone, will get my hubby to talk me through the techy bits tonight and I WILL get out next week!

I will repost on here once Ive done so!
Anyone else out there on the same wavelength????
Amanda 🙂

Well done. I started running about 12 years ago and usually do a half marathon at the end of September. I wasn't able to do it this year or last year due to arthritis. I loved being that fit and really miss it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Hi

How are you doing with the C25K? I saw it advertised in an NHS newsletter - i too have downloaded the tracks, but unlike you i havent taken it outdoors yet!!!

How are you finding it?

Any updates welcome!

Im not familiar with the program, but one tip i can give is remember to statically stretch after every session. This will save you countless problems down the line.

I ended up with IT band syndrome which is common in runners and its much easier to prevent than trying to cure it.
