Hi,I have been doing martial arts since last year and I would like to know if there are any other martial artists on Hp.I thought I could create a Martial Arts social group. If you are intrested in martial arts or are currently in a dojo,pm me if you want.I'll try to create a Martial Arts social group if enough intrest is shown 🙂
Any questions you would like to ask,ask away 😉

Hey Tara, yeah im into martial arts. Ive been training since i was around 5-6. Started with shotokan karate, moved to ITF taekwondo for the most part. These days i do boxing and muay thai.

What style do you practice?

Probably more on here than you'd think.

Out of the people on the sports massage course I'm doing, I did Kung Fu, one of the other students does Tae Kwondo, the instructor was a boxer and one of the volunteers we train on is a kickboxer.

Hi Tara,
I'm an ex Martial Artist but am still very interested in it. I used to train in Jiu Jitsu but after I moved country I never joined another club. I'm thinking about starting again.

I've trained in Shotokan Karate. I haven't been for the past 18 months due to various reasons but hope to return in the new year. I think martial arts are a great compliment to our healing practices.

I restart Shotokan karate on Sunday after taking a year out for ACL reconstruction. I'm the only one in the family that's not black belt 🙁

Oh yes, it will be a a build up to fitness again, although I have been using a lot to keep my fitness, stability and mobility up. One of the advantages of being in the trade, there's always someone around to help fine tune.

But having said that, it will take a bit of time to get back to doing 6 hours karate a week.

If all goes well, we hope to go to Japan in November to see my son compete.

The other part is getting of the fear factor because I ruptured the ACL sparring and the memory is implanted in my mind .
