Itching sensation

I am a woman in her early fifties and am going through peri menopause - still:rolleyes:

I have regular periods and two weeks a month where I am relatively symptom free. However the other two weeks are a series of physical and emotional symptoms that are not comfortable but because I know what they are and where they come from I use a belt and braces approach with supplements, diet and exercise to minimise discomfort and ride the storm.

Recently I have been experiencing an itching sensation during the night - this can be randomly all over my body but is worst in my pubic area and I often have to get up in the night and wash with cool water as it is the only thing that offers any relief.
I can't find any clear information about this other than it is sometimes called formication or parathesia and is caused by lack of estrogen. I want to know whether there is anything I can do to stop this. Just as I use evening primrose to stop breast pain and yoga to keep stresses in check.

I would be so grateful for any ideas.:)

Commiserations - been there!!!! 🙁

I didn't have a peri or a pause, I just went crashing into STOP when I was 45! However, I did have probs with itching. My daughter bought me a jar of natural progesterone cream Wellsprings Serenity Natural Progesterone Cream - Buy Serenity Cream and it alleviated the problem within a week. Might be worth a try.
