Well, this may sound stupid... I have read a book or two about menopause and so far I do not know if women enjoy sex after menopause. I am looking for expert opinion about sex after menopause. I am 40yrs old and am scared that in five or so years time my sex life will be over.
I'm 57. Menostop in 2000 (no menopause!!!) . My life sex life is far from over.... :021:
Come on Flowers - get a grip. If you enjoy a healthy intimate relationship now, there is no reason why it should not continue. In fact, I think mine improved! We had a few interesting moments when I thought I was going to spontaneously combust (due to hot flushes, gentle readers, nothing else!!) - but a good sense of humour got us through!
I've had some very honest conversations with some of my more 'mature' clients over the years, they all admit to enjoying that side of their lives a great deal, well into advanced years.
and even better if the kids have flown and not come back - +:D
sex is just as enjoyable after the menopause as it was before. Some women do experience some dryness - but there is a great lubricant called 'Syllk' that works really well if that is a problem
That dryness is another point of great concern, there are some women who experinece it after taking some kind of contraceptives and its terrible.
Like Tashanie mentioned - there are some products on the market, freely available, that are very useful to aid lubrication. I've not had to resort to using them yet & I've used all sorts of contraception over the years. Menopause has meant that contraception is a thing of the past, and we no longer worry 'when the moment takes us' :dft009:
Are you in menopause yet? I got the impression that you have read about it, but are not yet at that stage.
Hi Flowers,
Our thoughts create our realities 😉
What do you think yours will be creating for you in the future whilst you embrace what you have been reading?
The menopause is simply another phase in our life experience - do not dis-empower yourself.
No Flower it's not over after menopause.
I had a very early monopause before 30 years old. 😮
