My friend has a one sided armpit problem - the perspiration from this side becomes very odourous after just 1 hour of washing & applying any kind of deoderant - natural, crystal, strong brand makes - everything. Antiperspirants don't stop the sweating but the other armpit doesn't smell. It's really distressing for her to have to change clothing 3 times a day + finding facilities to wash. Any ideas / thoughts please? Just for the record, it's a right sided problem. Not necessarily worse in hot weather but obviously, it doesn't help. Thanks in anticipation.
Hi. Sounds like a sebacious cyst, possibly hiding in a skinfold, too small to notice. They accumulate sebum and notoriously smell "like a sumo-wrestler's jockstrap" (as my doctor said, no kidding!:o ) despite washing & deodorants.
The good news is that they can be surgically removed quickly in the GP's surgery. Easy-peasy, no more cheesy!
So send her off to the doc.
