For the past 2 years, I have developed red blood vessels and small little spots on my cheeks only.

It has got worse over the past year, I have been out of work and been in a difficult emotional place with my love life.

It is affecting my self esteem as its on my face. I try and hide it with make up. But I am trying Rose hip oil from Neal Yeards remedies, Aloe vera gel which is cooling and trying not to use harsh abrasive products on my skin.

I have had one session with a Kineasologist and have another booked. She says its alot to do with repressed, negative emotions trapped within me and now surfacing on my skin. This does resonate. So I'm going to try and release and control my anxiety ( I think alot and a worry alot) through yoga and meditation. This is helping me feel more relaxed.

I feel that I may have over used my adrenals in the past 5 years and now burnt myself out. I'm 35 and a lady with fair skin, who blushes easily.

If anyone suffers from rosacea and can recommend and alternative therapies , please say. I am going to see my GP and ask if there is any free counselling as I'm unemployed to help release by talking through my emotional problems. I do not want to be referred to a dermatologist and just be given oral anti-biotics and steriod cream to mask the symptoms like a plaster. I want to deal with it by getting to the root cause. It fills me with dread that there is no cure and you have to live it.

I don't want to accept defeat.

warm smiles

Hi lazzaris,

This thread may be of some use to you and a few days ago, while rummaging around on the net for my own skin problems ( my complexion is the pits!) I read taking zinc could be beneficial for Rosacea. Holland and Barratt currently have a half price sale on zinc, I bought some maximum strength ones ( which will last me 3 months) a few days ago for £3.:D

HTH 🙂

There's also a dedicated Rosacea Forum you can check out - i used to be a member, but I don't really bother too much worrying about my skin these days, life's just too short (took me a long time to get to that point though) 🙂

I've had moderate rosacea for about six years and the prescription creams don't work well with my skin. I use dermalmd serum once a day . As long as I use it consistently, this product really improves my skin!Stuff works wonders for rosacea!!!
