[color=#33CC99]Can anyone give me some advice - long term sufferer of psorisis but lately had outbreak of Guttate form. Earlier in year had PUVA treatment which successfully cleared it all. But now it is coming back and I am not sure if I should have PUVA again ?

Does anyone have any other ideas of treatment - natural ideas would be a preference.

Many thanks

RE: Psorisis - Help

Move to a hot country it goes and does not come back

Apart from that skin is about your own 'inner child' buried turmoil and can stimulate the energetic miasms of this disease through stress, so self development can help to heal the root causes of the core issues. May also have past life connections in fact usually does have some spin offs.

Years ago kinesiology and flower essences helped a great deal too and enabled me to sleep through the night following 15 years of broken sleep.

Depends where you have it, some areas are more easily helped then others, I used to carry piriton which you can get from your doctor for bad attacks but have no need to now. Scalp 'T' gell hairshampoo from Boots is quite good but does not smell too nice. Aqueous cream is cheaper then E cream and just as effective for lubricating and using as a wash. there is also another wash application called Olatan I think that is the name available from most good chemists.

Another wonderful natural source is to take a cup of raw porridge oats, put them in muslin and tie them up like a herb bag. Then put them in the bath and squeeze the liquid on to the infected areas, you can rub the bag on this too. The when finished squeeze the remainder in the bath and soak in it.

It makes your skin feel like silk truly wonderful but does not heal the root cause.

GOD speed you with your healing journey feel free to PM me if you wish.

Love beyond measure

Hi Caroline,

I do hypnotherapy and EFT for psoriasis and love treating physical conditions, as I was personally helped in this way. And the best thing is that it's perfectly natural.

RE: Psorisis - Help

My father in law suffers with psoriasis and has done in varying degrees for years.
Sunshine and holidays in Blackpool ([&:]) help him, he believes there is something in the water in Blackpool!
I have made him a nourishing balm to apply, which he says eases the itching.

It is my understanding that the guttate form is brought on by an internal infection or lowered immnue system.
Taking vitamin and mineral supplements can boost the immune system. Even sumply Vitamin C poweder and drinking loads of water could help dramatically. MSM (natural suphur) is said to help with skin conditions.

Fish and vegetable oils can help as well.

I do agree with Sacredstar that skin conditions are external signs of internal unease.

I have used flower essences and homeopathy with success to help peel back the layers...it is an ongoing process!

RE: Psorisis - Help

I suffer from psorisis too but I have a small bit on my elbow that doesn't cause much agro (just doesn't look nice) but it's the back of my head, it is so so so itchy, I don't use anything at the moment because I want to find a good shampoo, I've used other things on my head but to be honest it's alot of hassle as I wash my hair then get it soaking wet again and hair looks a mess for work 😀

Any recommended shampoo's would be great.

Thanks

Gail

HI Gail,
I have recommended an oil treatment consisting of hemp and calendula oil with sandalwood essential oil, to be applied to the scalp at night, then wash out in the morning.
This has worked very well, especially for small patches.

RE: Psorisis - Help

Thanks for the advice - I am going to try some of this healing as a few people have now recommended me to it. Anything will be worth trying rather than having more PUVA treatment.

We do a system called NAET which is new from America and might help you. There aren't many practitioners yet in this country but you can find one near you on their website.
