How do I make short curly hair grow straight and long?

Curly hair does take ages to grow, sadly you can't do anything much other than wait.. eating well will help to maintain good condition for the hair as it does grow, but for the curly hair, there's not much that can be done other than straightening.
It's a sad thing really, those I know with curly hair would love straight and I've straight hair and wish it was curly. I guess the bottom line is to learn in time to love what you're given, cause someone else adores it.

I agree with the advice an=bout diet and conditioner. - but like many other me people you may just be stuck with being less than happy with your hair. Mine is straight and grows really fast. I am sure that sounds like heaven to you - but I hate my hair it always looks so lifeless ........
