Only use recommended lubricants.

I developed contact dermatitis on my face and scalp after using household/gardening maintenance oil on my hair clippers. 😮

Oh my! Is it getting better or not? I find calendula cream soothing for my chronic eczema and also just general dry skin. And it's quite cheap.

The dermatologist said it could never be cured, only managed, and prescribed me a lotion, "an antimicrobial emollient and moisturiser for the management of dry and pruritic (itchy) skin conditions, especially eczema and dermatitis, and for use as a soap substitute".

I tend to use it predominantly as a moisturiser, as I do suffer from dry skin all over but mainly on shins/knees and forearms/elbows.

But it seems the only way to keep the blisters/rash from appearing on my face is to keep clean shaven, for if I let my beard grow for more than 2/3 days, I notice the plaque starting to form.
