Hi, not sure if posting in the right section, so if not please move.
A few months back I had a CT scan and got told I had small gallstones, but the letter from the consultant said that he was referring me to the Endocrinology Dept (the consultant said surgery wasn't needed for them, although his secretary told me of course you have to have surgery, anyone with gallstones should....I did wonder if the secretary was actually trained/qualified to give advice!). My dr did tell me that unless I became jaundiced etc that surgery was not required. My query being has anyone visited an Endocrinology Dept recently, if so what usually happens at the first consultation and are there any tests that they usually carry out (at that/additional appointments), thanks
Jane
