It looks like my little baby boy (15 weeks) is following me with allergys. He already has really bad eczema and i feel like he may be reacting a bit to dust & mites now. I want to get an ioniser for our room where he sleeps. Do you get what you pay for or are they all as good as each other? Ive seen one on the lloyds pharmacy website for under £7. Do you think that is ok or should i spend more?
Thank you!

I like and use these water based air purifiers/ionizers - you can add a few drops of essential oils to the water to freshen the room as well as ionize the air with negative ions.

Are they also good for adding humidity to the air? as the air in my room is so dry from the heating.

thank you

Yes, they would be - the bowl runs out of water after a few days, and the moisture would be counter-acting the effects of the heating. You should though open the windows to let in more fresh air and moisture - the oxygen levels in a room decline very fast, and CO2 levels shoot up because of normal respiration you know.

ioniser air purifier

hello Breeze
As my backgound is in air purification an ioniser is a good idea for all homes as they reduce the airborne dust and some virus and bacteria. There are various models available both plug in and with cord but the best models are those that also have filtration and UV built in.
my concern is that your baby has eczema which has probably more to do with chlorine in the water at home.
I would suggest in the first instance purchase a Vitamin C chlorine filter for your shower. They are available either as a shower head with filters or a multi use shower/bath filter. These are by far the best on the market as they are effective in both hot and cold water and will also remove chloramines.Other mediums such as carbon and KDF are only effective in cold water.
if you need any info on where to purchase the items let me know.
