My thoughts today are more with those who are suffering (and those who have died) due to Storm Harvey. To be evacuated and temporarily displaced is one thing but then, the prospect of returning to a home that has been flooded....doesn't bear too much reflection... longer repercussions. Awful!

So true. Flood damage is horrible and then dealing with the insurance companies! I so feel for the families and individuals going through this tragedy.

The last I heard the death toll was 24. That's horrendous. However, the death toll in Bangladesh and India is well over 1000.
More and worse floods are inevitable, I guess.

Yes the situation is more devastating and serious in India - affecting over 40 million people and killing over 1,200

Bangladesh is no stranger to flooding with the poorest forced to live on land that is subject to flooding due to erosion.

Still, I have noticed how the emphasis, in the news/media, has been more heavily focused on the US situation - perhaps because what is happening there is unprecedented .... thereagain, if you play the numbers game.... hmm

Today I found a suspect package on a bus - black heavy rucksack! I alerted the driver and we all got off (I would have anyway!) Since this was in the suburbs/outerskirts of London....I am wondering how likely would it be to be terrorist related? Or a terrorist on their way into London that changed their mind?...maybe more unlikely! Seems too heavy and bulky an item to have simply forgotten.

Did you find out what it was?
I agree that it's easier to forget small things (glasses, for example, or a purse), but people do forget big things. I knew a new mother who forgot her baby and had to go back to the shop!

I am still in suspense/limbo pending news of a probate situation that has reached a critical stage but I am reasonably optimistic.

How are you?

Amy, I am doing reasonably well. My travels were rather exhausting but enlightening. Hopefully your pending situation is the most positive. As always, wishing the best of the best.
