And? Seven years ago there were arguments over the details. They were sorted out. Now we know the graph was correct. So what are you saying?
Graphs offer predictions that are the result of input. Input is subject to accurate perception. Like I said, nature can surprise us. They are the best indication that we have but not infallable.
You are still not giving me anything that contradicts my post:
It's gone beyond serious. Several scientists have said we are destroying our life-support system - some giving us as little as 10 more years. And, although many people have said to me things along the lines of 'don't worry' or 'I'm more optimistic than you are', they have none of them been able to give me good, scientific reasons to be optimistic or to not worry. Humans are on the way out. Sadly, we are probably going to take everything else with us.
There is nothing that you have said that is in any way hopeful, other than your belief (unfounded, in my opinion) that the experts are wrong.
You've probably seen these before. They've been doing the rounds for a while. http://www.anonews.co/26photos-end-near/
Look at number 25. That water is held back by an ice wall. When the wall breaks, the water will pour out. This process was not understood until it was filmed happening in Canada about 20 years ago (and before anyone says 'that was before climate change', no it wasn't). The film caused great excitement because it explained geomorphological structures that had not been understood before and, in doing so, helped us to understand how these positive feedback loops led to the end of the last ice age speeding up to where the ice melted in about 10 years. We are speeding the process even faster.
I attended a geology lecture about 10 years ago, about the release of methane from the warming oceans at various times during the geological records. These releases were sudden, although the warming that precipitated them had been going on for a long time. Eventually, the seas warmed to the level that the frozen methane in the deeps thawed and, suddenly, rose, poisoning the atmosphere. Our seas now are warming faster and are already too warm to avoid this.

Yes I am not denying that man's activities are speeding up earth's natural cycle of change.
Re. the methane - here is a potential, positive spin on it.

I wonder if others here who regard themselves as strong, have difficulty in being at the receiving end of being comforted....
Today I was due to have my high blood pressure checked - previously suspended due to stress (a will dispute). I prepared myself to be as calm as possible but a mix up over where I was supposed to go (the computer gave the wrong location and no-one seemed to know) started getting to me since the appointment time was passing. I was unprepared for this - it felt jinxed - and the upset gave way to tears. With my equilibrium being now no longer normal, I feared that the blood pressure reading would be sky high and precipitate a higher dosage of medication - something I was VERY keen to avoid. I was in the very situation I had tried so hard to avoid but I was caught off guard, suddenly by not even being able to get to the right destination to be seen!
My distress must have been quite marked since someone came to soothe me via EFT. She was kind and really motivated to help me although it felt kind of embarassing since I was not used to this role reversal - I am usually the one doing the helping i.e. not being needy! Hence there was a bit of resistance to what she was doing but she did well. Does anyone else have this difficulty?
Further to my post on beached whales (above), whilst military sonar has been linked to this it may well be due to today's news, i.e. that there was a 5+ earthquake in that vicinity. Of course the initial stirrings of this would have been felt by sea life.

That might have had an effect on this particular pod, it is unlikely to account for the huge increase in beachings over the last few decades.
I would suggest:
- Pollution
- sonar (and other noise)
- warming oceans
as possible reasons.
I highly doubt it could be because of the earth quake, most probably sonar, pollution and global warming behind this.
Somewhere there is too much snow, somewhere there is unexpected sunshine. In most places we have enough to eat - in fact obesity becomes problematic. In 4 countries, 20 million are on the brink of starving to death...will their cries be heard? How precious and how disposable is life....

We are in a situation - certainly in the USA and increasingly in the UK (and probably in the rest of Europe as well) - where it is common to be obese while also being malnourished. The very poor cannot afford to eat the foods that will nourish them.
This was noticed in the 'Deep South' decades ago - that you could (in fact, it was common to have) obese mothers and too thin children in the same families. It is a pattern of poverty within rich, but divided, nations. So obesity is not simply about having enough to eat. There are obese people starving to death as well.

I am just speaking about the general trend.

This was the bit I was commenting on. I'm pointing out that the foods that create obesity also create starvation.
Your general point that society is unbalanced (is that a reasonable paraphrase of what you said, or have I misunderstood you?), I do not disagree with.
Thinking about my school exams
I was thinking how sad it is that the slogan "Be all that you can be" is being used to advertise the army. I realise why but it's not the whole, truthful picture is it? More like - you can be dead but it's not life as we know it, Jim
"Join the army, travel to exotic, distant lands, meet exciting and unusual people, and kill them."
(Not sure who first said this, but it dates back to at least 1974.)
What am I thinking today?
That I have no faith in human nature nor of the ways of this horrible world.
