You think that reiki could help you! Well, then you could visit a reiki practitioner in your area or become your own self-practitioner.

What is Reiki (my own definition, experience based)?

Reiki is not a miracle. I believe it is a kind of re-connection to ones own healthy vibrational state. Self-healing is the process of reaching your genuine healthy vibrational state to able your physical/psychic blockages to react and shift towards a healthy state. The more you perform self-healing, the more you accommodate yourself to your genuine healthy vibrational state and therefore likely to guarantee long term healing effects.

To achieve the re-connection, you need to get attuned to Reiki energy first (also called "Life Force Energy") and then perform reiki self-healing sessions on yourself.

Who would be interested in getting attuned to reiki for self-healing? Myself, and what about you? Are you open to reiki or any other holistic therapy?

Please send me a message or post your thoughts here. 🙂

Alain

For me self healing and personal development are the MAIN benefits of a reiki attunement. I think the whole world should be attuned to reiki level one. My goal as a teacher is to attune as many people as I can 🙂

Hi Alain, welcome to the forum. Some interesting thoughts there. 🙂

Have you considered that the thought that we have a natural healthy vibrational state, is based upon a judgement of right and wrong! the reality is that we create life force energy in accordance with our underlying thought patterns and beliefs, one way of thinking will create one form of life force energy and another way of thinking will create another form of life force energy.

Please contemplate that the life force energy remains completely natural irrespective of the symptoms of health/disease and wellbeing that are created by it, the life force energy can do nothing on its own for it is completely neutral, in order for healing to happen, then a change is required in the way that we think and are, if people are not prepared to change, then they can self heal every waking hour of the day, but nothing much will happen until they choose to create and embrace the changes that are required within the fullness of self.

To achieve the re-connection, you need to get attuned to Reiki energy first (also called "Life Force Energy") and then perform reiki self-healing sessions on yourself.

There is no such thing as Reiki energy, there is however a Reiki healing modality, which helps people to learn to heal the Reiki way.

People can become attuned or connected to the Reiki healing modality or other healing modalities, but they cannot become re-connected or connected to something that they already are, we are all maintaining ourselves through the life force energy of consciousness that we create through our underlying thought patterns and beliefs.

What sets one modality aside from the next, is not the life force energy of consciousness that we utilise to heal, but the understanding that each modality gives to its practitioners. 😉

Paul, what would you say would prevent people from being prepared to change?

Hi WildStrawberry

Paul, what would you say would prevent people from being prepared to change?

We always need to look to self WildStrawberry, changes always come from within and only we can stop ourselves from changing. 🙂

If a person has chosen to attune to the Reiki modality of healing; believes that the Reiki modailty of healing can be used for self-healing; uses the modality to self-heal (desiring change) - then, I don't see why, on paper at least, that change wouldn't occur....(?)

So very true, everyone would benefit from being attuned to Reiki. I would go further and say to level 2 for the most benefit. As Usui-sensei said, we can change society for the better by helping individuals change for the better - that is one of the goals of Reiki.

Have you considered that there are occasions when people cannot change due to their emotional state/physical state/mental state/past conditioning/circumstances? Are you suggesting then that these people cannot recover from illness/injury? I have seen people recover from illness by simply receiving treatment from a good therapist or medical practitioner or even by resting and eating well. I have also seen people that recover from illness and then that itself is the catalyst for change.

I understand what you are saying and it is a belief which is held by many, even though they experience this not to be true for themselves and others. 🙂

Please consider that the person has set up the environment which has created their problem which they are are now trying to heal through the Reiki healing modality or any other healing modality. In order for healing to manifest, they need to change their way of being from what created the problem to one where the problem will no longer need to manifest.

If people believe that all they have to do is to get an attunement to this or that healing modality and they will become magically healed by doing nothing more than going through the ritual of applying healing to self daily, then the majority of people are in for a big disappointment and a lot of confusion.

An inner conflict is a thought pattern or belief in two or more opposing things at the same time, if someone does not believe that they are worthy of being healed and they deserve to suffer, then it does not matter how many attunements they receive or how much self healing they apply to themselves, they will not become healed until they address and sort out the inner conflict which created the problem in the first place, they will be able to do little more than create temporary relief from their problem.

It is the same with all things, believing that something is possible and actually manifesting that possibility into our life experience are two completely different things. 🙂

Hi Omega1

Have you considered that there are occasions when people cannot change due to their emotional state/physical state/mental state/past conditioning/circumstances?

Yes I spent many years considering that and found that to be untrue, people might believe that it is true, but thought patterns and beliefs as well as our way of being which reflect them can always be changed if someone is willing to let go of their judgements and allow themselves to be.

Are you suggesting then that these people cannot recover from illness/injury?

No. I would say that they need to receive healing which will help them to realise their goal of changing their life experience form one way to another way, in order for that to happen they need to change whatever has created the imbalance which is manifesting as their current state of health and wellbeing (or find a healer who is capable of instigating it for them), so that they can once more experience inner harmony throughout the whole being.

I have seen people recover from illness by simply receiving treatment from a good therapist or medical practitioner or even by resting and eating well. I have also seen people that recover from illness and then that itself is the catalyst for change.

Yes that is true but sadly there are many who do not recover, in spite of seeing skilled healers, therapists and receiving skilled medical intervention, they still die.

Treating the symptoms has its place and for some things it works, but sometimes we need to address the underlying problems that are creating the symptoms, healers do that by creating a change that will transform the whole being from inner division and conflict into inner harmony and wholeness, whichever way we look at that, it requires personal transformation which is change.

In which case, I don't understand why earlier on in post #3 you said:

...what then do you mean by "which helps people to learn to heal the Reiki Way" - if you are (also) saying that it won't work (going through the rituals/following the instructions).

And, what do you mean when you say what sets each modality aside from the next is "the understanding that each modality gives to its practitioners"?

The Reiki healing modality provides symbols to address the manifesting mental and emotional aspects of inner conflicts (believing they are not worthy of being healed and they deserve to suffer)

Hi WildStrawberry

what then do you mean by "which helps people to learn to heal the Reiki Way" - if you are (also) saying that it won't work (going through the rituals/following the instructions).

There is a difference between utilising the canned healing methods that are supplied with the different healing modalities to get people started and learning to heal through the modalities, we need to learn how to heal not just apply the set formula.

And, what do you mean when you say what sets each modality aside from the next is "the understanding that each modality gives to its practitioners"?

Each modality utilises the understanding of the person who creates it, if someone believes that in order to become healed, people need to stand on their heads in the corner whilst being healed, then that is the way that they have set up their modality to work, the information that is passed within the attunement will reinforce that to the people who choose to learn the modality and they will be taught to heal people when they have them stood on their heads in the corner.

That understanding will be different to the next modalities understanding which might require the practitioners to ring bells around the healee or apply symbols etc to create healing.

The Reiki healing modality provides symbols to address the manifesting mental and emotional aspects of inner conflicts (believing they are not worthy of being healed and they deserve to suffer)

Yes I am aware of the Reiki symbols, as I do not work with symbols, I provide people with an empowerment which when applied correctly will enable them to transform someone's way of being and inner conflicts, but the empowerment on its own cannot do anything but empower the practitioner to be able to apply the teachings that go with it.

What instructions did you receive in your Reiki training that would enable you to resolve someones inner conflict that is arising between their aspects of consciousness, from they believe that they are not worthy of being healed and deserve to suffer, into they now believe that they are worthy of being healed and no longer need to suffer?

I don't understand what you mean by there being a difference between using the canned formula and learning to heal "through" the modalities. It's just that on other posts you have said that unless a practitioner follows the prescribed formula of the modality, provided by the founder of the modality - then the healing doesn't work, because there has been deviation from the understanding of the founder. As you're reiterating here:

Each modality utilises the understanding of the person who creates it, if someone believes that in order to become healed, people need to stand on their heads in the corner whilst being healed, then that is the way that they have set up their modality to work, the information that is passed within the attunement will reinforce that to the people who choose to learn the modality and they will be taught to heal people when they have them stood on their heads in the corner.

One of my brothers attuned me to Reiki. I was primarily interesed in using Reiki only on myself, and so after the attunements, and with the basics of Reiki that my brother could pass on to me without passing on his own distortions about what Reiki is (ie; the precepts; the symbols; hand positions; attunement process) I didn't see that training was necessary
.

I already had some experience and understanding about divisions in consciousness, inner conflicts etc. And so, my understanding was that Reiki could be used to address the inner conflicts. However, rather than the inner conflicts being resolved, the conflict could be 'released': Consciouness could be 'untangled' from the binding limits of the inner divisions/conflicts. And, health would be one of the byproducts of the untanglement (release) of consciousness from the confines of the inner divisions.

'Resolution' of inner conflicts to me would mean having a preference / a bias / a judgement reagrding what was being percieved as a 'problem', or an obstacle to be overcome: Having a preference regarding the outcome, a preference for healing over non-healing - getting results.

So, healing with Reiki, to me, would result in a person gradually over time, becoming freer and more expanded as consciousness. The more expanded the consciousness; the freer the circulation of life-force - with the person's health reflecting the ease or unease/disease of circulation.

If a person has a beleif that they need to suffeer and is not worthy of healing, then that conflict/ division would naturally be released when the time is right, by that I mean - with a persons conflicts being released from the top (conscious awareness / wholeness) moving down (unconsciousness / division /separateness).

You have misunderstood what I have said to you, I understand what is involved in transforming an inner conflict within consciousness, I was asking you to outline what you have learnt through Reiki that allows you to transform an inner conflict using Reiki?

So, healing with Reiki, to me, would result in a person gradually over time, becoming freer and more expanded as consciousness. The more expanded the consciousness; the freer the circulation of life-force - with the person's health reflecting the ease or unease/disease of circulation.

What aspect of Reiki is going to release one belief that is creating inner devision and transform it into another belief that creates wholeness and inner harmony?

I thought I'd just answered that to the best of my ability. If you're trying to point me in the direction of something Paul, you might have to spell it out for me.
