This is my first post.I am just starting to do paid tratments and I have been asked to do a treatment on a lady taking Warfarin for blood thinning as she had a blood clot.
I know reiki will always work for the highest good and the client should never stop taking any medication but I just wanted to be sure.
Also, is there any conditions you would refuse to treat due to counter implications - some people have said epilepsy but then others have said it can really benefit it....
Any advice appreciated.

You will find a range of opinions within the Reiki community about this subject. I believe that if a client is on prescribed medication that is set at a level to suit their illness and the Reiki treatments can improve their illness it is essential to notify their medication prescriber to monitor their condition and if necessary adjust the dosage of their medication.
I would treat them but get them to mention to their doctors that they are receiving reiki treatments.
As well as the above be aware that people on Warfarin should be regularly having blood tests so any changes will be monitored and the warfarin dose adjusted accordingly. That said however some people who are on it long term may only be having monthly blood tests so it is as well for her to ask for one a bit sooner if that is the case.
