A good friend of mine had handed in her notice at her work, she was meant to do four weeks, but could not handle the stress that was coming from her area manager.
She left on the Friday, was phoned by the area manager, and was told if she didnt finish her notice, she would loose 85 hours lieu time and holiday pay.
She went back to her work on the Sunday, on the tuesday she suffered a stroke on her left side The doctors said it was due to the stress, that was put upon her.
I would love for her and her family to receive healing to help her through this awful period of time.
How one person can be so evil, to another beats me?

Your friend is not in a position to consider this at the moment, but I reckon she has a claim for constructive dismissal if she wishes to pursue it. At least she can take this evil person to a tribunal to account for their actions. Maybe suggest it when she is better.

AIUI constructive dismissal can arise even when someone has left, provided the conditions have been met. If the process has been flawed in some way then a claim is indicated. More details can be found on the ACAS website, which has a wealth of information and is very accessible.
I am not a lawyer, but I do teach employment law. Second-guessing employment tribunals is notoriously difficult, but one thing's for sure: if you don't ask you don't get.
So sorry to hear about your friend - sending reiki healing and hope she makes a speedy recovery.

Thanks everyone for their kind words and healing. I just hope it helps her get on the road to recovery. She was a strong mentally person, but this has shaken her to the core.
Sending healing to your dear friend that she gets better soon. Can understand the whole workplace issues, it's not uncommon but at the end of the day. Unfortunately there are very unpleasant people out there but I do believe it will come back to them.
