Hi everyone!

There is a thread on this subject, however it is very old and I thought perhaps some of you folks had experience working with Cystic Fibrosis.

I have a dear friend just diagnosed and would love to be of help.
Thanks!

I treated a lady with cystic fibrosis during my training and she responded well, she was a little chesty afterwards but this was the mucus clearing,as time went on she became a lot less mucusy after each treatment but did mention about using the toilet frequently after every treatment.
Hope this helps 🙂

Have you done any reflection as to why the client may have improved?

Did the reflexology "clear" the lung area or did a relaxed client have the ability to expectorate more readily?

Worth considering. 🙂

That's an interesting point. Relaxation in itself helps to expectorate mucous. Hopefully reflexology being very relaxing to many people would of helped in this process.

hi all,
I have recently spoke to the lady in question who i performed reflexology on and told her about this thread.
I asked her if she thought she was able to release mucus due to being relaxed or because of the reflexology over her lung area and she said that she definatley by going over the lung area as she felt this area was quite tender and she mentioned that she was more able to express mucus when she was more active rather than relaxed,so i think in my ladies case it was the reflexology that benefited her 🙂
