Can anyone give me a bit of info about Timeline and where you trained?
Thanks!

RE: Timeline
Hi Sarah
Tad James came up with time line therapy and is an integral part of NLP.
My NLP training which also included time lines was done by PPD Learning Ltd. () I found them to be excellent. Also, Paul McKenna Training are great. ([DLMURL] http://www.paulmckenna.com/nlp_practitioner_training.html [/DLMURL])
Hope these help.
Hugs
Steve
PS - i think your newsletter is great, by the way!
RE: Timeline
I'm very interested in this too, don't you have to do a full hypnotherapy training before commencing with Timeline?
RE: Timeline
Not at all. NLP is great for beginners.

RE: Timeline
Anyone heard of or have experience of the Performance Partnership? They seem to provide a comprehensive course of NLP, TimeLine and Hypnotherapy.
Cheers
RE: Timeline

RE: Timeline
Dez,
Where did you do your training? Was it at NLPworld that you have linked on your site?
They appear to do NLP, Timeline and Hypno for £250 as a practitioner course, is that right?

HIYA
I think you need to re read the nlp world webpage the prices you say are actually thr refund policy

2006 January 14th - 20th

This is the real price of learning nlp and timeline, some companies charge a lot more by the way
it aint cheap but what you get is worth more than the cost
btw i have no association with nlp world i trained with them and i do reccommend them.

RE: Timeline
Can I jsut ask why NLP training is always so expensive? You said that this is the real cost of NLP, and that others often charge more. I had heard that all NLP training courses pay a % bakc ot Bandler and co. Is that right, and why the prices are high? Because £1.5K is a lot for 7 days!!

RE: Timeline
I'm booked on a NLP 7 day course (in April 2005) at:
[cost £799 + VAT( Earlybird* £699 + VAT by 21 Feb) ].
Perhaps take a look although I'm not sure if it will include Timeline,

RE: Timeline
NLP trainers can charge what they like. What they do have to do is pay for is a certifcation fee from one of the associations. ie The Society of NLP which is Bandlers.
It is not expensive if you think about how good it is and what you get out of it. It is worth it's weight in gold if you ask me.
I think Paul McKennas course is about £799 for 7 days. May be wrong as I am going from memory.

RE: Timeline
Cheers Dez, that's the problem with looking at web sites while at work, you can't have it open full screen, and you tend to miss stuff. 😀
Joe, I think that course may cover some timeline stuff, but it doesn't appear to be a timeline therapy practitioner certificated thing which is what I'm really after.
Steve, The Paul McKenna site has a broken link for the NLP Practitioner course so I can't see the details, but looking at the NLP Master Practitioner details it doesn't mention anything about Hypnotherapy or Timeline Therapy. Do you know if it's part of the course or not?

RE: Timeline
Ahh, don't know as I didn't train with them, just remember someone telling me about the price.
Sorry

to do timeline you need nlp practitioner level, then you also get hypnosis pract and timeline, some courses do timeline, a version of it, but they walk the timeline or do a version of it, you need performance partnership, or nlp world to do real timeline stuff, paul mckennas training does not teach the tad james timeline (TM)
do a search for tad james or from memory i think his site is
ask them for a list of timeline teachers in the uk
i hope this helps

Cheers for the info Dez, glad you pointed that out.
I'll take a look around.

RE: Timeline
Hi,
The Performance Partnership does do a combined NLP/TimeLine/Hypnotherapy course led by David Shepherd. I think he's very good, but I am biased cos that's where I did my practitioner training. You do get certified in all three.
One of the reasons that the course is expensive is because there is a 12CD distance learning package which goes with the 7 day live programme, which is a prerequisite. These used to be recorded by Tad James himself, but David now has recorded his own version and cost around £375 on their own.
Their website is at
Incidentally, David is supposedly the only Time Line Therapy master trainer in Europe, so many other TLT trainers will have trained with him.
Hope this helps
Jonathan
RE: Timeline
More on Time Line Therapy resources....
If you want to just get the basic idea, Tad James' book "Time Line Therapy and the basis of Personality" is a good bet. You also get info on metaprograms which is pretty useful stuff too.
He's also done a video couse and a couple of tapesets. The video course is £235
All can be obtained from Anglo-American books [link= http://www.anglo-american.co.uk ]www.anglo-american.co.uk[/link] In my opinion, It's not an easy site to find things on, but I just did a search on "Time Line Therapy"
Good luck
Jonathan
