They say we only use 10% of our brain power, can we unlock the rest?

For example "try EFT on everything", would I be expecting too much from EFT if I wanted to develop a photographic memory? What I mean by photographic memory is this. Looking at a full page of text for a split second and being able to remember it all word for word.

If it's worth a try, how would I go about doing this, what should I be thinking, what should I be tapping out or in, why do a very few people in the world have photographic memories and most others dont?

Thanks for any replies and suggestions.

RE: They say we only use 5% of out brain power, can we unlock the rest of the 95%?

Fixed my Amber. Thanks

Typo in thread heading. Should be "They say we only use 10% of our brain power, can we unlock the rest of the 90%? "

Hi Narmi...

I have edited it for you, but in future if it happens again, you can edit your own post or headings by clicking the little 'edit' option on the top-right side of your message box.

You may be surprised, considering the amount of threads that I visit and post on, but I'm quite a slow reader and details don't tend to stick in my memory easily. At least they didn't used to....

The other day I was in my new job and they gave me a couple of folders of information to read through before we went away on a workshop so that I could familiarise myself with things, and I mean these were 2 large lever arch files full of information. I only had about an afternoon of time to scan through these and, knowing how bad I was at remembering things, I decided to do a little EFT tapping for myself. I used something along the lines of "even though I can't possibly remember all this information, I choose for it to stick in my memory to be recalled later". I then scanned through the information, only stopping to read in detail the complicated bits and finished the two folders by the end of the day. I wasn't sure whether it had worked or not until I got to the workshop the other day. Then, as other people were asking questions of the presenter I suddenly found that the information was coming straight to my mind and I was able to say to myself "Oh, I know the answer to that".

Now I know it wasn't recalling the text word for word, but the information definitely seems to have been stored in my memory and is available for recall as and when I need it.

So, IMO, yes EFT can help us to use our brains more effectively.

Love and Reiki Hugs

Wow!

And you only tapped the following once?
"even though I can't possibly remember all this information, I choose for it to stick in my memory to be recalled later"

Even if you did it more than 1 time, its amazing!

Time for me to come up with some similar tappings and start tapping! 😀

How about these setups?

originally suggested by Energylz: even though I can't possibly remember all this information, I choose for it to stick in my memory to be recalled later

even though I can't possibly understand all this by reading it once, I choose for my mind to comprehend it easily
even though my mind keeps wondering when I read this, I choose for my mind to be tuned into that I am reading
even though I keep getting distracted, i choose to have sharp concentration
even though I am not motivated to read this, <<CANT THINK OF AN ENDING FOR THIS>> ??
even though I'd rather waist time surfing the net instead of reading this, <<CANT THINK OF AN ENDING FOR THIS EITHER>> ??

Please help me with the endings of these setups. Are these setups any good? Can you think of any other relevant setups?

Thanks again!

Thanks v much for the info.

Another way to tackle this is to just forget the "brain" and think of it as just another lump of meat (which can be used of course). It is not you.

There's a thread on this at:

The concept there is that you are not your brain, things work differently to common perceptions, and there is no limit to what you can accomplish.

even though I am not motivated to read this, I choose to look at each page to the end
even though I'd rather waist time surfing the net instead of reading this, I choose to use my time constructively

Giles, are you still feeling the little odd?

I must admit all the above is beyond me!

LOL V!

The last time I changed my signature, I got a barrage of PM's complaining and wanting it re-instated. 😀

EFT's not that complex mate, try downloading the manual from and take a look. Really simple to learn to do for yourself. 😉

Giles, I would join the club of compainers if you changed the sig. No way.

Narmi, sorry about that. It isn't my writing, but the guy at the link. It hits the spot for me, and maybe for others.
