I looked last year at doing a Chrysalis Hynoptherapy course but couldn't do one then due to a number of things affecting my own personal life. I am interested in possibly doing a course in Hynoptherapy starting in September...but my question to you is how good are Chrysalis? has anyone done their courses? Or are there other compaies you can recomend? I am based in Kent they offer once a month get together/study at Maidstone which is accesssible for me. I don't want to partiuclarly travel to London each day (4 hours travel).
Thanks
A friend of mine is doing their course he's done the hypnotherapy and counselloring parts so far, he's now going onto the psychotherapy. He didn't really want to due the hypnotherapy bit but it's part and parcel of the course that he wanted. As far as I know he's been pleased with the company and knowing him if he hadn't he'd of walked away. I was one of his case study's for hypnotherapy although the way they work is different to the way I've previously been hypnotised, it still worked for me.
Will see if I can have a word with him in the next day or so and give you some more info by PM.

Chrysalis
I've just finished their Hypnotherapy course. I found it very challenging and interesting but maybe not enough practical for me.
Be prepared to write 7 two thousand word essays every month and you will also be expected to write your own scripts as well as writing 3 case studies.
It may be just one day a month but you will be expected to meet up with your practice group every fortnight and to have acquired at least 50 hours of practice by the end of the course.
Not being negative, just pre warning you what to expect as it wasn't explained to us before we started.
That said, I learned an awful lot and really enjoyed it. I have taken another shorter hypnotherapy course and found that it didn't teach me nearly so much, but I got the practical element I felt was missing. It depends what you want to get out of it.
Hope this helps
Don't Do Chrysalis!
I've joined this forum just to say: DON'T DO IT!
I am a practicing hypnotherapist and have completed the Chrysalis Diploma. However, I re-trained after doing their course as it was appalling.
The frustrating thing for me is that this town is full or ex-Chrysalis students who do not make very good hypnotists, but make life difficult for the rest of us.
There are far better options out there!
Funnily enough I have just downladed the prespectus for them and it said unless i apply within 14 days i wont be offered an interview! Pah!
That put me off Tbh, plenty of other better training providers about!
