Trouble Sleeping..can a massage Help?

Hello, for the last few months Ive been having trouble sleeping, i am not particular nervous or stressed! i guess i just find it hard to relax, someone mentioned that a massage could help? what do you guys think?

Hi Angela, and welcome to Healthypages,

As for whether you're stressed or not, it's hard to say as often we think we cope with everyday stressors and are ok, but the strain it causes us can manifest in different ways, which could be as subtle as not allowing you to sleep soundly.

Certianly massage can not only be good for muscle aches and pains etc. but can be very relaxing, and it's certainly something that's worth a try if you're thinking along those lines. Give it a go and see what you think.

Speaking as a massage therapist, I'd say yes, it can 🙂

Absolutely, massage for many people does help them sleep. But like all therapies, conventional or complementary, if symptoms persist then the underlining causes have to be looked at.

Try massage and see if it helps 🙂
