Hi guys, could you give your opinions on Kinesiology and whether you have experienced a treatment, did it work. No real reason but I may look to do a course so curious for any feedback.
Thanx,

RE: Opinions please!
Hi Laura
I know a brilliant practitioner in yorkshire if you are close. I think like all things some therapies work for some and not for others. The X factor, as I call it, is the therapist and some give something else which is an energy of sorts and that provides a better healing than just the normal therapist routine, not wanting to alienate anyone of course. But from what I have seen it can have amazing results.

Ian
RE: Opinions please!
Thanks Ian, but I am in Kent! As far as I understand Kinesiology involves muscle testing, pressure points etc. Anybody fill me in with the rest?
Tanx,

RE: Opinions please!
Hi Laura,
I've been for quite a lot of kiniesiology and it's cool stuff. It does work although I'm not quite sure how. It uses muscle testing to look for reactions to substances eg food intolerances, but also to emotional issues eg fear of failure. It can often detect stuff on an unconscious level. It then acts to clear away the negative reaction. I think that often advice is given on ways to change negative behaviours, or remedies suggested eg Australian Flower Essences.
That's my experience of it anyway, others may differ. I'd recommend it, it's a bit of a mad one, but it is effective.

I have also had a lot of kniesology, and I can honestly say that discovering this is the best thing therapy wise that I ever did. It has helped me in so many ways, most importantly which diagnosing my wheat intolerance, which means that my clothes can now fit. I am not sure exactly how it works either, but am just glad that it does for me.

RE: Opinions please!
i just did an online kinesiology course, for which i passed with an A. great... you may think but DO NOT do an online course! i am an experienced bodyworker (reflex, reiki and massage) and i really would not know where to start in conducting a kinesiology treatment. so... i may know the theory but the practical <shrug>.... not to mention how i would do a consultation. its very disappointing but you pays your money, i guess.
i will go on some workshops and see whats what!
its an interesting subject and i know there are some practioners here.

Hi
I have received Kinesiolgy as a treatment. I did not tell the therapist about a severe allegy I have to raspberries and she picked it up from the reaction.
Very good method for identifying food intolerances.

Amazing method for testing for any allergies or intolerances. You can find out which chemicals don't suit you and try not to have them in your bath or in your vitamins etc.
I found out I was allergic to oranges. I had never even guessed it before, but it made perfect sense as all the pieces fell into place afterwards. Since then, I have used hypnotherapy for my orange allergy and reduced all orangey things around and in me to a minimum.

Applied kiniesology is an excellent system & definitely worth persuing!
I did four courses in it before I doing my degree in osteopathy, so sadly I'm a bit rusty now, but it does all fit together,
The word Kiniesiology means the study of movement, that why I stipulate 'Applied Kiniesiology' otherwise known as AK, but I believe that there are at least 7 seven variations on this already. e.g. the one I did - think was called AK for Health. [sm=scratchchin.gif]
I learnt with an excellent teacher (but then I would say that), but she has since passed away, but there are those that are not so good. Believe me - I've been treated by one. [:o]
The practitioner needs to be a very objective & sensitive type of person, otherwise forget it.
The teaching is gonna be a bit tricky online - sorry Ro§ie, but if you will live so far away, what can we do. [sm=grouphug.gif]
It's a very definite hands on experience from a good teacher, else it'll all be a bit peely wally. [:'(]
I have seen AK courses advertised on HP, so suggest checking those out!
And.

RE: Opinions please!
Hi, i've just completed a foundation kinesiology course after learning about it many years ago through other therapies and friends. i always knew i had to do it and have now started the journey of learning. every time i do a balance or stand alone stuff i am blown away with the responses i get. i get easily bored and am traditionaly from a medical background. love it and highly recommend it.

Kinesiology cured my hayfever, and that's good enough for me!

RE: Opinions please!
My daughter was seriously injured in a car accident. My friend, who is a systemic kinesiologist, came to the hospital to treat her and treated her subsequently at home. She also treated me as I had absorbed a lot of my daughter's pain for some strange reason, and MY hips were out due to her hopping around in the later stages of recovery! She made such an amazing recovery that she was discharged after only 3 physio treatments and the therapist said he had never experienced such fast healing with such a serious injury. In addition, my partner had 2 frozen shoulders, one for over a year. The kinesiologist he visited fixed them both in 20 minutes. This was after physio, acupuncture and steroid injections had all failed to make any difference at all. From my own personal experience, I can only highly recommend it but suggest you apply to A.S.K. for details of proper courses and workshops.
