RE: colon cleansing

Hello szilva !

There are many ways you can cleanse your colon, and many colon cleansing programmes available:
- you can simply start doing it yourself, using an enema kit (available from most chemists/pharmacy shops)
- you can buy cleansing programmes using a combination of herbs and other products, to cleanse your digestive system: one of the most established companies out there is Blessed Herbs ([link= http://www.blessedherbs.com/ ]http://www.blessedherbs.com/[/link]) which has an excellent range of products;
- you can go to a colonic irrigation practitioner and have the colonic irrigation (or colonic hydrotherapy) performed: I have been to Aqualibria ([link= http://www.aqualibria.com ]http://www.aqualibria.com[/link]) in Harley Street, London and have been extremely satisfied with the service and the outcome.

What you choose depends on your objective. If you don't have any specific needs but just want to clean out, you may go the "do it yourself" route. If you feel you do have specific needs, then I would advise going the specialist route as the colon is a delicately balanced environment. I had been a sufferer of many digestive conditions and I personally was not able to resolve things myself. It takes a little courage to get out and share these things with someone else, but you will get the results quicker. Personally, I wish I did not use my own body as a guinea pig for such a long time and went seek help earlier.

Keep us posted !

Namaste

Jon

RE: colon cleansing

Jon is spot on with the three methods.

But hang on. Szilva, is it possible for youto elaborate on why you ask? There's probably a pretty good reason?

There's a school of thought believing that many people have a build up or inner wall of impacted faeces on the inside of their colon, which is literally years old, and hard, or like rubber. This is bad for health since nothing easily passes through the colon wall for digestion, just for one thing. This is particularly thought to be true of people who eat meat or much junk food. So colonics and the herbal method, in particular those two methods, are also intended over a whole programme of use to remove this.

There used to be books on this whole subject and I'd guess there still are if you are interested.

RE: colon cleansing

Following my reading and study of Dr. Robert Young's work in 'Sick and Tired' - see his site at [link= http://www.phmiracleliving.com, ]www.phmiracleliving.com,[/link] I progressed to a book he recommended, by Robert Gray, on Colon Cleansing - available from Amazon.co.uk from £3 - £10 or so.

After my second read through I see the procedure more clearly - see his book
Colon Health Handbook: New Health Through Colon Rejuvenation

He gives interesting and detailed information on the whole process of the workings of the Colon and the Digestive Tract - and compares the use of various methods of colonic irrigation - but goes on to recommend his own procedure formulated after 9 years of so of research.

You can apparently use colonic irrigation - provided it does not use chlorinated water - in conjunction with Robert Gray's method - but interestingly he says if using only colonic irrigation it may well take 12 months of treatment to be as effective as his approach.

He also say that people with Chrohn's Disease, IBS and Ulcerative Colitis should NOT use his system for colon cleansing.

I think this involves laxatives and not eating for a day to clear out your colon.

Colon Cleansing (Enema)

Colon cleansings (enemas) clear the colon of old, hardened waste material and harmful toxins restoring proper pH balance to the body. treatment stimulated the immune system and allow freer passage of nutrients into the blood. Weight loss is common due to the removal of waste and stimulation of the metabolism. In addition to physically eliminated accumulated material in the bowel, colonics or enemas can speed the eliminating of toxins that have been stored in the liver, the gallbladder and in fat tissue. By helping to eliminate these toxins in a hurry, enemas have amazing effect on health and well being.

There are a lot of mixed opinions about colon cleansing. I suffer from mild constipation and general sluggishness and I decided to try the Blessed Herbs colon cleansing kit after a friend suggested it to me. All I can say is what a fantastic result, ignore the marketing stuff about mucoid plaque and you get a great colon cleanse. You can get the Blessed Herbs Colon Cleanse from [url]Blue Herbs [/url]in the UK and they often have really good offers.
