I have done about 16 eyelash perms in the past with success.

A couple of weeks ago, I permed a young girl's lashes but with no success. She had lovely long, dark, straight lashes with no curl at all. She had had them done before without success by someone else.

I have heard that sometimes you cannot perm very straight lashes.

I was very disappointed and wondered whether there is something I can do. Obviously, I had to charge my client, but I would like to try it again, FOC, for her. Any ideas?

We used to offer eye lash perming in the salon but as we didn't do it very often, when we did, we had the same problem in that it didn't curl the lashes. The conclusion I came to was that the solution had 'gone off' and lost its' potency due to it being old. I suppose a bit like nail varnish goes thick after a while. Are your products still new? or have they been lurking around for a while?

Eyelash Perming Kit

I bought a perming kit just over a year ago!

Sounds like it could be the age of the product. I think ours stopped working effectively after about 6 months.

I found that unless you do lots of perming and have a good turnover of product, if you only do 1 or 2 a month (if that) you seem to be forever buying new stuff and therefore not making any money - hence why we don't do it any more!
