I've got an aromatherapy qulification, I've joined the FHT and if I want to purchase oils from a wholesaler I must send them proof.
All the above is fine... I'm happy to comply to the rules.
However, I find it frustrating that any joe blogs can pick up oils from boots and health shops.
It's good that the public can use essential oils at home, I'll love it if the world went holistic!
I do find it a little crazy that anyone can buy oils, that are neat, just like we use, yet professionals have to take the long route!
Rant over.
Which particular wholesaler are you trying to order from? I havent had any problem ordering from the company I use.

It may be because they are going to give you a practitioner discount. I buy from Quinessence and if you look for a dicount they want to know for sure that you are qualified. I just faxed them my certificate and all was fine.
I think you'll find that this applies to most suppliers - you send proof of qualification so that you are eligible for therapists discounts and you can then also order the products in therapist sized containers.

I was going to write in the same.. Regular customers however get oils at a price little expensive than you practitioners get.. You have to get a long way to get some discount i guess
