RE: Disabled Travel
Hi chosen angel,
my partner is disabled (back trouble, plus sciatica from a bodged operation) and has to use a stick for short distances and an electric scooter for anything longer. She has been on a world trip by herself and we recently returned from a cruise in the Med and then a trip around the North Cornish coast,,, we are due to go to the Red Sea in December. All this is possible with planning. All airlines and cruise companies are now obliged to have special provision for the disabled. Cruise companies and hotels have cabins/rooms with extra wide doors fro wheel chair access and toilets/baths with handles/raises seats etc. All airlines take wheelchairs/scooters in their holds in addition to the normal luggage allowance. One thing to be careful of, is the choice of airline, re seat spacing....... charter flights are usually very bad for this,,,, Virgin Atlantic are by far the best I have found,,,, First Choice,, the company dealing with our Red Sea flight, have special 35" pitch seat spacing......
As I said, anything and everything is possible with planning,,, please get back to me with any further questions.

RE: Disabled Travel
Hello
We started a non-commercial website to collect reviews of wheelchair accessible holiday accommodation as we could not find this sort of information on the internet.
I hope this gives you a coupld of ideas, and if not please let everyone know where you have been once you return and we can share this with everyone.
Thanks
