RE: Lifestyle help!!

There's no such thing as redundant advice, think about it this way, you're learning, you've a lifetime of experience ahad of you, what you may advise her following a treatment, although she may already know it.. may also confirm to her that she is doing the right things and give her more confidence. If she is doing the right things, write down that you've discussed them, say that her she is very knowledgeable in the subject. You could also say, as a student of this therapy you feel that you yourself are learning a lot about her ailments and how they affect people so that when you treat others in a similar situation you will be very much more prepared and knowledgeable to help them, perhaps she knows of self help groups or places to go for information which you could include in your case study..

A client who really takes their health seriously is a godsend, you'll achieve great things from them and learn a lot, far more than from a client who is inflexible and although you research and provide the best advice in the world, wont listen.. enjoy the treatments and the learning she provides you, you'll appreciate it in the coming months.

RE: Lifestyle help!!

good advice from gussie there (and the others) but i think students knock themselves out over the after care advice.

if your clients is doing everything they should be, it is perfectly fine to say so! as gussie says, write it down that you and client have duiscussed aspects and client appears to be doing as much as she is able and that you have encouraged her to keep up the good work.

in the meantime, do your own research on the subject... (lol i dont mean that as do your own research and dont ask us!! i mean it as find out what you can) the web is an excellent tool for this. you might just find something that is relevant to the client. it will also put you on a firmer footing when talking about it, with current client and new ones. use this client as a learning curve for you... you're right. some people take their health conditions seriously (if you knwo what i mean) and find out as much as they can... so get good useful info from her to pass to others.

as you get more experience and treat more people, you will come across many different ailments you knew nothing about. i think clients appreciate that you take the time and trouble to research it in order to give them a more educated treatment.
