Which, if I've got this correct, I understand comes down to everything being energy.
Mmm, yes and no... not entirely Giles, as one is a state of 'no-thing' as I understand it
.
Confused?

Amethysthfairy,
See it is that simple! More, if you can accept that there is no answer that can be put into words I think you can begin to understand that there is no answer as your heart grows in the fertile soil of not-knowing..
Deep down though I think there are some things that come back to my mind time and again when I think about questions; like this and what it all comes down to in the end is awareness, perception and the objects of perception... the eye and what it beholds... the mind and what it sees... a state of longing and closeness... out of silence acceptance... love that is the self and it's selfless image.
In the end we can't even say what things are yet alone where they came from before they became what they seem to be now. We can describe things and show how they come into existence from causes and conditions and then decay but in the end if we cannot really define what they are they have a quality that is something and yet no-thing... How can we understand that with our minds?
I believe we can begin to understand when we see through this desire to know what things are and our experience gets more and more familiar with loving and letting go all at the same time. For the self that needs to know forgets itself and then forgets the question it couldn't answer all by itself. Then things just become self evident

I like the " Cookie Jar" theory.........because you don't need an answer, just dip in.......;)
You can live life to the full and dip in to the jar.Or save them for later and wait until the next lifetime to dip into the jar....just make sure you enjoy every moment........
Remember this Saying.......!!...( Buddhist I think )
A moment on the lips.....many lifetimes on the hips......hehe
I think this discussion is more philosophical than scientific?
