Well, I don't know if this is quite the right place to mention this but it is relevant (depending on your beliefs!).
I sit in a psychic development circle and one of our members 'channels' for us once a month. The last time I attended one of these meetings the channeled guide was asked where did humans come from?
The answer was that we were 'seeded' by another race "using the material that was already on Earth" (the apes). This was still going on in various forms today, apparently!
Just thought I would bring this to the debate!

Well we could do evolution and the formation of earth and such like - but I figure you mean where does all matter come from - in which case science hasn't got a monkey's (ohh theres them apes again) - spiritualy (in the vedic tradition) it all comes from maya which is born from maha pralaya - HTH 😉

Which, if I've got this correct, I understand comes down to everything being energy.
In answer to the question "where do we come from?" it really depends on the context you want the answer in. Ok, so we can narrow it down to the fact this thread was started in Scientific Matters, so we're not really looking to much at the "spiritual" description of things.
where have we come from? creation from? where does God come from? universe come from? if there is no universe,people etc then what is it?who thought of the vast universe?infinity to where?

Ok, firstly, who is to sey there is no universe or people etc? Where does this concept come from?
One way to look at things could be to say that just as the Universe is infinite i.e. it has no bounds; you will never reach the edge of it because it always continues, then we could also say that about time. When the question is asked "how did all this come about?", that implies a start to time or a point in time where things were created. This is the point that many religions pick up on and insist that things must have been created from somewhere at some point in time. But, consider that time is infinite and we can say (or theorise at least) that things have always been there, have always existed, they never had to be created, there never had to be any entity or concept to create those things, they always just were. It's a concept that the human mind has difficulty comprehending... the universe is infinite, time is infinite, energy (our concept of the building blocks of everything from Einsteins E=mc^2) has always existed but simply "moves" and changes form in an every changing universe. It will always be here.
Perhaps if you define energy (in whatever way you choose) then you are defining existence.
