RE: UFOS

Here we go. Vedic accounts of UFOs, aliens, astronomy and cosmology are best dealt with by Richard L. Thompson.

I was particularly thinking of his amazing Vedic studies in the book "Alien Identities". His books at:

RE: UFOS

To quote Astronomer Heather Couper:

''Our galaxycontains over 100 thousand million stars. It is so vast that our jet would take over 100 thousand million years to cross it.
Beyond our galaxy there are many, many others, each with their own compliment of stars.
Galaxies stretch as far as our present instruments can probe. Theremay be more than 100,000 million, million, millionstars in all the galaxies which make up our universe.
So in relation to the whole known universe, the sun and its family of planets seem utterly insignificant.'' .

awesome, or what??

RE: UFOS

I must read that Thompson book on aliens in the Vedas again sometime actually. I recall that it was incredibly insightful, but must have read it very quickly as I actually am vague now on content. Hmm. But definitely it was along the lines that "aliens" come from other planets IN other dimensions i.e. something like what a modern occultist might call "an astral planet". Which is why we don't pick up radio waves from other races, etc. It's a kind of parallel-universe concept. I also seem to recall that in ancient times the authors of the Vedas or those before them did have contact and communication.

RE: UFOS

After watching a few (sad me) documentaries on space, and putting it in the background of my everyday life and senses, I now feel that our planet Earth is just an atom, or maybe even a particle of an atom (such as an electron) making up with other atoms, or particles, in an arranged way (with its specific rythm and movements) an unimaginable Whole...an object? an flowing ever-changing body?

What I also feel is that we are not just at the bottom end of this giant scale (human-scale in comparison with planets and galaxies) but rather in the middle of an infinitely decreasing (pea size, microbe size, molecule size, and never ending smaller and smaller world) and infinitely increasing (in size) world. I am trying to sense what it would be like to see both all microbes and molecules in the world around us and within us, and all the stars/planets in our galaxies, at once.....a dizzying sight.

Sorry for diverging! But what I wanted to say is that let's imagine the possibility of "aliens" in a world where everything that we see (including us) in our everyday normal experience is just the final expression, the end-product (or in-between state, like a wave)of an original reality, a web of pulsing energies...

not that I want to sound incredibly boring, [sm=sleep.gif]but "alien life" could be already here, and all around us...

It is also a problem to define what is Life..is life defined by bacteria? by water? by movement?by rythm?by change?

Are we looking for some mammal-two-legged creature that breaths, hears and talks?

What if alien life was this strange solar wind that astronauts may have felt while in space? what if it was actually the heart of an invisible creature?

Sorry again for being a bore!
