RE: Questioning the Big Bang
Yes -- ;)-- I realised afterward that people may need a glossary that goes with it!!!
But I have the 19 stanzas in a wonderful illustrated and 'illumined' book by a super artist. I found that in reading it in that style, with illustrations, it was a fairly easy read if one has a bit of esoteric knowledge.
I must compare the first 7 stanzas to teh 7 Days of Creation sometime: they describe the same thing, and are almost certainly older even than Genesis.
RE: Questioning the Big Bang
An example!
The very first four verses of Genesis. Hope no-one minds me saying that the Bible is often a very simplified form of the real science behind Creation. The first 4 Genesis verses including the third, "And God said, Let there be Light, and there was Light" etc., you can find comparable to bits of stanzas 2 and 3:
3. THE HOUR HAD NOT YET STRUCK; THE RAY HAD NOT YET FLASHED INTO THE GERM; THE MATRIPADMA HAD NOT YET SWOLLEN.
4. HER HEART HAD NOT YET OPENED FOR THE ONE RAY TO ENTER, THENCE TO FALL, AS THREE INTO FOUR, INTO THE LAP OF MAYA.
1. . . . THE LAST VIBRATION OF THE SEVENTH ETERNITY THRILLS THROUGH INFINITUDE. THE MOTHER SWELLS, EXPANDING FROM WITHIN WITHOUT, LIKE THE BUD OF THE LOTUS.
2. THE VIBRATION SWEEPS ALONG, TOUCHING WITH ITS SWIFT WING THE WHOLE UNIVERSE AND THE GERM THAT DWELLETH IN DARKNESS: THE DARKNESS THAT BREATHES OVER THE SLUMBERING WATERS OF LIFE. . .
3. DARKNESS RADIATES LIGHT, AND LIGHT DROPS ONE SOLITARY RAY INTO THE MOTHER-DEEP. THE RAY SHOOTS THROUGH THE VIRGIN EGG, THE RAY CAUSES THE ETERNAL EGG TO THRILL, AND DROP THE NON-ETERNAL GERM, WHICH CONDENSES INTO THE WORLD-EGG.
Just to give an example, here the "slumbering waters of life" are the waters mentioned early in Genesis. This isn't really "water" but all matter-energy in a totally passive state, with no form, no 'substance' no vibration, no powers or energies. What else could people then call this but 'waters'? If one has a kind of inner mental glossary about what every term means, it's quite simple!!!!
RE: Questioning the Big Bang
I find this whole subject fascinating as it was in the first (almost always overlooked) chapter of Genesis that Mary Baker Eddy discovered the principles that she felt sure were the basis of the great works of the OT prophets and Jesus. Spiritual laws that enabled them to have complete authority over all so-called laws of matter. To find such similar ancient teachings as you quote to me shows the universality of eternal truth. It is thought by the way, that Genesis 1 to Gen 2:3 was written by the Isaiah who had the millenial vision in Isa 11.
"The numerals of infinity, called seven days, can never be reckoned according to the calendar of time. These days will appear as mortality disappears, and they will reveal eternity, newness of Life, in which all sense of error forever disappears and thought accepts the divine infinite calculus."
(Science and Health p 520)
Well, if you ever do compare the two, I hope you'll also read this exegesis, of the 7 days of spiritual creation from the chapter Genesis in Science and Health:

I also recall Dr Doyle speaking about how scientists are beginning to think of the universe as a song (don't ask me to explain that one!) He pointed out this passage from S&H:
Eternal Truth is changing the universe. As mortals drop off their mental swaddling-clothes, thought expands into expression. "Let there be light," is the perpetual demand of Truth and Love, changing chaos into order and discord into the music of the spheres. (S&H 255)

RE: Questioning the Big Bang
Yep to the Seven Days and creation.
Looong ago (late 1970s?) I read a book called "The Quantum Gods". Nothing to do with physics, it was a Kabbalistic and generally esoteric book on how there are Seven Stages to ANY Creation ... whether it be that of a planet, a book, a house, a a piece of knitting. And we are the 'Gods' because we can do all of those stages. In fact we all do, unconsciously. To do it consciously is to be a much better creator. (For example one stage is visulaisation and holding a clear image.)

Not sure if this is strictly science.
