can someone please explain to me the meaning and origin of ID.
Thank you.
Hi Shaunm,
I'm just rushing out, but there's an explanation of the origins of ID (and much, much more) in this article. There's also a lot more than I would be able to contribute and I hope you'll read it. It includes observations from astrophysicist Dr Laurence Doyle, a principal investigator studying extrasolar planets for the SETI Institute
Creation controversy: taking the questions deeper
Reprinted from the January 9, 2006, issue of the Christian Science Sentinel.
Doyle: The math isnt in the chalk. You can see math expressed, in a way, by looking at chalk correctly written on the blackboard, but the math is never in the chalk. And arguing over whether the math got in the chalk a long time ago by accident, or much later by design, starts with the incorrect assumption about what math really is; it is not chalk.

loved your ant story, v... who'dve thought you were such a nasty little boy!!
this has been an interesting read and i have to agree with venetian and sunanda's ideas... now that i stop and think. it makes perfect sense to me.
i cant see how the "miracles" can be explained by physics now or ever.... apart from to say, oh yeah, it was god's doings!! 😉
RE: inteligent design
Hi Rosie,
Which miracles are you thinking of, which cannot be explained by the laws of physics/chemistry/biology?
Everyone has said this, but nobody's yet come up with an example. God is all around us, everywhere. Sunanda is right - he/she/it is omnipresent - in nature. David is also right - God the 'creator' created nature, but nature has to comply with certain laws, which apply to the whole of the universe, not just planet Earth. Therefore I base my 'god is a scientist' theory on precisely that - everything works according to natural laws, nothing can possibly work outside of them, even God. So all miracles can be explained eventually, even though at the time they may be inexplicable.
So, please can you cite some miracles, which you believe manifested outside of natural laws?
Love,
Patsy.

hi patsy,
well as you are the scientist here, I'd like to ask about the miracle that is known as "the birth of life on planet earth" and which natural law or scientifically proven theory that particular event in our universe adheres to? [sm=scratchchin.gif]
