RE: inteligent design
No sunanda, you weren't malicious. You have never been malicious to anyone. I am feeling very sensitive at the moment, due to several reasons.
Nothing to forgive, dear sunanda.
Love,
Patsy.

RE: inteligent design
Hello all
I would first like to thank you all for taking the time to share your thoughts, although I hope you are all still friends.
I would like to know from David more about the laws of physics that God is working outside of.As far as I am aware gravity is also omnipitent. I'm quite sure, with the speed of scientific advancement, that we will be able to do all of the things described as miraculous within thelaws of physics, even the ones we haven't discoverd yet, during the four billion or so years that we have left.
I totaly agree with Patsy there is an explination for everything, if not now, then there will be like so many times before.
PS maybe I should have left this on philosophy anyway, sorry!

Hi Shaun
Scientist David Hoyle considered some intriguing issues in relation to Darwinism and the Intelligent Universe.
If you are interested you can read more about it here:

Sorry my post is so short and I don't offer any comments of my own. I am a bit tiredy this evening. I made the mistake of checking HP before going to bed, and as per usual I found something interesting to distract me.
Anyway, I wanted to post the link while I remembered. I won't get the chance to be online much tomorrow.
Hope you find something to answer your questions in that link (although I get the feeling it will bring up even more questions!!!)

RE: inteligent design
Hi Shaun,
Since you mention me, I can only say that I don't think I can add to what I've already posted. 😉 Just if we think of God not in a way of faith, but theoretically, that if there is a Creator, then that Creator 'decided' how everything is, and there wasn't anything in this universe before that Creator. So the Creator-God created the laws of physics - not vice-versa. Physics didn't create the God. Otherwise that isn't, by definition, a Creator-God, but a lesser kind of being.
Philosophically, if a Creator created all, then all is subject to that Creator and can be changed by that God. God isn't a captive of something God happened to decide to sling together (the Universe)?
It is a bit of a hard leap, yes.
And, alas, for the first time in decades it got me remembering by maze-universes with the ants. ;)[&o]I'm afraid only one or two ever got out of there alive! I had the patience to wait until the blacks met the reds - and those guys were a lot worse than Muslim meeting Jew in the Middle East: instant conflict to the end! 😮
