RE: inteligent design
I think that God must be a scientist, for if we consider that God is real (which I do, no question about that) then he/she/it would have to work within scientific parameters.
Not so. God, being God, is omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent. God can, and often does, do anything. Anything.

Why not so, sunanda? Just because God is omnipresent, it doesn't mean he doesn't work in accordance with natural boundaries.

RE: inteligent design
My point is that God, not being made in man's image and therefore being totally unimaginable, actually IMO CAN work outside the laws of science. Isn't that what miracles are: events that do not conform to the natural laws? The thought of God as a scientist conjures up such a sweet picture of an old man with a long white beard in a lab coat....but this is anthropomorphism. God is outside all boundaries. IMO.

RE: inteligent design
Hi sunanda,
I cannot understand how God could possibly work outside the laws of science. If you have any stories about miracles not conforming to natural laws, I'd love to hear them. All those miracles I have heard of, do comply in some way to scientific scrutiny.
Love,
Patsy.

RE: inteligent design
I think Sunanda is saying that the boundaries themselves are set by God, or rather, all is God and therefore God has no boundaries. God can do anything. God being the source of the "Laws" of physics, for example, means that God can change the so-called Laws of physics.
The key point being that no possible outside boundaries are imposed upon God or can limit God, as there is nothing outside of God. I must admit that I can't change two fish into three thousand as God did through Jesus, but it's a simple matter for God - or God-in-Jesus - to do.
