RE: Gravity "Only a Theory"

Missed that one, but it sounds as if it was interesting.
I'd have to question a) how much you can trust a hacker and b) how much you can trust the documents from the US Military (or any government body for that matter)

Most places I've worked will have documents saying such and such a project will be ready and complete by such and such a date, but when it's such long timescales involved that usually means there's loads of stuff that has yet to be figured out and it will probably be assuming certain things that they can't even be sure will work at that stage.

Guess we'll have to wait and see.

This is quite interesting.

Isn't all this "gravity" stuff an incomplete way of looking at magnetism?

If not please let me know.

If it were magnetism, then compasses wouldn't be so slow at rotating to North and we'd all have bits of metal sticking to us. 😀

Magnetism and Gravity are different things, but like a lot of things scientific, they share some observational properties.

RE: Gravity "Only a Theory"

Although there is an effect which is known as the gravitational effect, there is no consistent theory for it. They are still searching fora particle to explain it all, rather like the missing link.

Newton's "Laws" of motion themselves appear rather contrived to me. I do believe it would be possible to find superior descriptions for motion.

The idea of equal and opposite forces rather suggests two perspectives of one thing. But Newton's explanation persists with the two things and the remarkable coincidence of equality setting itself up in opposition over tremendous distances.
