You are such a blessing reikiangel - I love you with all my heart for your wisdom, compassion, and clear-sightedness. Thank you for taking the time, giving the obvious well-thought out insight, and for sharing about your family, what a help. xxxooo (I'd hug & kiss you if I could) J
UPDATE:
I spoke with Jim yesterday. I read him everyone's replies and explained that people from across the sea were upholding him, supporting him. "Really?" he said. "Yes Jimmy, even total strangers are sending you healing, love and prayers." I did have to explain the Reiki part though as he doesn't know about that aspect.
As I was reading, he said "stop, don't read anymore, I'm going to cry." But I told him I was going to read them all, he needed to hear them. Jim asked me to tell you all "thank you very much". He said to make sure you know that he will go to alcohol treatment, he is serious about it. He was very concerned that you all knew that.
That's it for now - thank you HP Angels 🙂 You're each and everyone of you in MY heart, and I'm sending you uplifting, positive, loving thoughts, prayers, and energy. My prayer is that your heart's desires are fulfilled, that you are blessed with health and prosperity. Not only physically, but spiritually too. Love and Light! J
Dear American Woman
Sending much love and light to you and Jim. He is on a journey that only he can decide if he wants to take it. If he does go down the path he may stumble but he would have learnt so much up to that point of stumble.
It is hardest for those who have to stand by and watch the addicts journey but no amount of shouting and pushing will help. The more they resist the more you push a sad fact but true. Jim has a lot to cope with at the moment and I hope with all thoughts and prayers winging their way to him I hope he finds the strength motivation and reason to take him on his journey of recovery wishing you all well. If he can find the strength to go on the journey I can tell he will have help support and love. The sheer joy in people who manage to overcome addiction is a wonderful thing and I hope Jim can find that joy in his life.
Hi Jennifer,
My heart goes out to you and your brother Jim, i truly hope and pray that things work out well, you all must be going through a terrible time.
You are both in my prayers.
Sonia. x
Hi Crafty and Somerset Angel :), Thank you very much for your wise and generous replies.
A bit of a further update is that Jim has not responded well enough to the first procedure (they "burned" his prostate to make it smaller) and has to have a different one (some kind of injection?) to try to shrink it so they can implant the seeds. Each time they go in with a camera and have a look, it is excruciating, and his morale is low just thinking of what is coming next. The double whammy of delays and anxious anticipation of pain is hard. 🙁
I hope you are all doing well though, amazing HP people.
Little story: I couldn't sleep last night and was awake watching TV. On our public station (the one we have with no commercials and it is locally run via donations) was a movie by Jane Austin. I watched it and thought of England and you who are from there or there abouts. It was a comfort to hold you all a little nearer by seeing the scenery, old homes, hearing the accent, and so on. Aren't I just a silly romantic thing? LOL, ah well. There it is.
