Hi all
Exactly four weeks ago my partner of ten years was taken into hospital with severe vomiting and headache, for the past six months his gp had been insisting he had vertigo but the symptoms just got worse till one morning i just phoned the ambulance and got him in.
After several hours and many chats with the doctors the decided that a brain scan was in order, the told us after that they thought that paul had a brain tumour, just as we where trying to come to terms with that fact paul had a seizure, when he came around i noticed that his left side was paralysed and that his right side had terrible tremours. He was rushed to the uhw for emergency brain surgery to stop the brain swelling when i got there the told me that beth sides of his cerebellum had died.
Any way four weeks on and he has started moving his left side and his speech is slowly coming back, although he has not eaten four all that time as he keeps vomiting so today they fitted a peg so that should help.
I know i will probably have to care for him in some way for the rest of our lives, but he is only forty one, so can you please send him some healing and prayers.
Thank you for taking the time to read this post, and thank you for all the good work you all do with your wonderful advice and posts.

Oh gosh Shoney, what an awful start to the year.
Hopefully your partner will carry on with the recovery process and get much more movement and speech back.
You both have my blessings and healing thoughts.
Keep him thinking positively to help him along, and I wish you both well.
