RE: Nontoxic Cleaning Solutions
I have a few sites I get some natural info from. One that uses borax a lot is

& she has a link where you can buy it. I’m not advertising; it’s not my site. Just what I had in my faves.

[link= http://www.oxiclean.com/faq.asp ] http://www.oxiclean.com/faq.asp [/link] Says it is safe for septics, when used as directed.
Can’t use it for dishes tho, I had called & asked them. It’s why I use hydrogen peroxide.
I also read a lot! A book I have now is Clean House, Clean Planet by Karen Logan. She’s the one who talks ‘bout how to make scented vinegars & even scented baking soda! For a gallon of white vinegar, you would add either 75 drops of lavender or tea tree. Or 50 drops of eucalyptus or peppermint. I like the lavender myself. Tested it & my husb said the vinegar smell dissipates but ‘cos it’s an EO, the lavender lasts a bit longer. So it was a nice smell.
Oh, if others have books or sites they’d like to share, would love some ideas. I have quite a few of both but am always on the lookout for more ideas.

I add lemon, orange and lavender to my vinegar spray for kicthen work tops etc, i then have one with eucalyptus which i use in the bathroom. I don't mind the smell of vinegar though and am happy to use it without fragrance although my kids don't like it.
Off to look at links for new ideas.
