I do a lot of sport and was looking for an ethical running shoe that doesnt cost the earth to coin a phrase. New Balance are UK made and approved by the vegan society but does anyone else know of any alternatives?

RE: ethical running shoes

Hi,

You could have a look at lovethoseshoes.com. I have bought lots of footwear from them over the past few years, the service is excellent, with very helpful staff, and I think the prices are reasonable. All of the shoes I have bought, and worn a lot are still in good condition. Their products are good quality and last for years, so even if you do think the prices are expensive you will hopefully enjoy years of wear from them (as the saying goes~you get what you pay for).
They have a vegan range which is certified by the Vegan Society.
Hope this is helpful?

Laura.

Thanks, I had a look, the running shoes are around 115 quid which is beyond me just now, but I am going to give the new balance trainers a go and keep this site in mind for a time when I have more disposable income.

RE: ethical running shoes

I got my new balance trainers in the end 25 quid. I was having a conversation with my brother today and he was telling me he was looking for ethical football boots, he said that he could find vegan ones but not ethical ones.
Didnt have much more than a 5 minute conversation, I wonder if anyone knows of any ethical/vegan footie boots.
I am thinking if something was vegan then it should also be ethical, maybe I can let him know where to find the footie boots.
