i have discovered them in sainsburys. not seen them elsewhere as yet though. they come in a green round tub and they are not tablets but capsulated powder. so far i think they are brilliant. been using them for about a month. only wish i could remember the name of it 🙁 . will add later.... nice to have an alternative to ecover. they do 3 types: normal, hypolallergic and a sensitive. sainsburys have all 3 online but so far i have only seen the hypo and sensitive in my local store.

just found this link in another eco post the products are called Simply

I like them, there's no residue left and no perfume and it's nice to know they are eco friendly. They last ages too.

I didn't realise Lakeland did them. I get them [DLMURL="http://ethicstrading.com/soapnuts.html"]here[/DLMURL] for about half the price. However, I don't use them for whites but use the stuff that comes in an ice cream tub instead 🙂 It's called [url]Simply Active Eco-Smart Washing Powder[/url]. You can get it in most supermarkets (I get mine in the Co-Op) and you can buy refill boxes online, which saves you having to deal with the plastic packaging if you're in an area where you can't recycle plastic.

I use Wikaniko because they have such a wide range of choice - washing balls (I'm sure they have a proper name), soap nuts,, laundy liquid, dryer balls - all kinds of stuff and all pretty reasonable (cheaper than lakeland and tesco anyhoo) - I use the BioD laundry liquid and fabric conditioner and put a couple of drops of lemongrass and lavender essential oil in the fc - smells gorgeous, cleans well and makes everything really soft 😀

SIMPLY ACTIVE is brilliant ,I use these.

They are approved by [DLMURL="http://www.vegansociety.com/home.php"]The Vegan Society[/DLMURL] so get my seal of approval lol.
They are very very popular. And even better for me they are a Yorkshire based company, so for me living in Yorkshire I'm buying local too lol.

Ecover are def in my bad books , as they lost their Vegan soceity approval last year for using animal ingredients (rabbits blood) and doing animal experiments , but also for using GM ingredients in half of their products now. Hardly what I call ECO friendly!!!!
